30/12/2016 10:52 | Yes, it would be interesting to know who the beneficiary was. May be closer to home than they would like to disclose. Mind you, they have form with this behaviour (and history suggests it's not a sure-fire way to get paid!) having used the same trick to settle the infamous "Paternoster Loan" (a previously undisclosed loan from Nick Lee/Paternoster which disguised from shareholders the fact that they had burned all their cash on the abortive EER transaction) and paying off fees and salaries of Nick Lee, Alex Borelli and the brokers. Good luck to them if they think they'll ever see the cash. Speaking of Lee and EER (with which he took up an appointment on leaving MTR), I wonder what happened to the outstanding £170k of abortive costs he blew which were "guaranteed" by EER? "The Board remains confident that the outstanding debt will be repaid in full albeit the exact timing of such repayment remains to be agreed." Oh yeah? | jeffian
30/12/2016 09:13 | You said "PR company knows......" | uknighted
30/12/2016 09:09 | Didn't sY they were in the know. Just said they know that having the shares means there is a possibility of divvies on top of any capital gain in the share price ..and that they're prepared to take the risk of the share price dropping further. Can't see them selling at this point unless the marketing co's also need to bolster their own cash flow. L. | lazygun
30/12/2016 09:05 | In the name of transparency we ought to be told who the beneficiaries are. As for them being in the know and holding on for divis, I expect they will have parted with these shares long before any divis arise. | uknighted
30/12/2016 09:04 | What is the book value of the services which the company has received? One wonders if the vendor(s) had invoiced £116k and received likewise after this latest placing......or was it "look, we at MTR owe you £70k or you can have £116k in shares to settle".The premium doesn't matter without knowing the value of services imo.More murk and ambiguity imo. | manics
30/12/2016 08:36 | £116k to their mates? Who signs off on that ? If an AIM cesspit p.o.s did a deal a £100k deal with Apple or Google or someone they would be shouting it from the rooftops wouldn't they ? Why don't they show same transparency when they give £100k to their mates ? Why isn't there a breakdown of which of their mates gets how much ? What is there to hide ? Surely if these mates have provided an honourable service to shareholders they deserve 'recognition' no ? This looks like backhanders round the back of the bike sheds. | the stigologist
30/12/2016 07:42 | Ironic that MTR can't even find the cash to pay for their own PR. £116,000 of new shares for 'Marketing' i.e paying for puff piece interviews to try and boost the share price. | someuwin
