Thailand news is highly material as nothing priced in whatsoever currently. Remember that already has a $74m npv and there is huge exploration upside. If, as appears to be the case, the new regime are mining friendly then suddenly this asset will be looked at with renewed appetite.

Interest & offers/bidsToday 11:32There seems to be some scope for confusion about what expressions of interest and offers have been received and what they apply to. My take on it all is:-

1 There has been an "unsolicited cash" offer, which must therefore be quite separate from BMR's "all share offer", for "our 30% position prior to the release of the scoping study". The paragraph from which I've taken the 1st & 3rd quotes and the paragraph preceding it are both about the "project", and that is clearly the jorc/scoping study area, not the whole of T3 or the whole area covered by the Botswanan JV.

2 The JV, not just MTR has entered into "a number of Non-disclosure Agreements with third parties, who have "expressed an interest in the project". I take this to mean the jorc area again, and since the RNS says quite clearly that "parties are on site currently", I would like to hear from Orion as to why he believes the RNS is false.

3 In the next paragraph of the RNS beginning "The Directors note..." mention is made of meetings with "private equity investors interested in the Botswanan project" which I take to mean the whole project not just the jorc area, but it would help if those drafting statements , and even posts on this board, were absolutely clear about what "project" there were referring to. I take it that these meetings could be about either acquiring a stake in something or providing finance without an equity stake.

4 From all of the above it seems to me that, contrary to what Noodle asserts, there is interest in and has even been a cash offer for, our 30% of the scoping study area.

Hope I've got it all right and it clarifies things.

If you gonna try and slag someone off, at least use the right words in the right context, otherwise, as you've done here, you just make yourself look a prat.

Come back when you actually have a point to make that has any value at all, and once you've also learnt how to use the English language properly, and shown you can understood the meaning of the words you're pathetically attempting to string together in some vaguely coherent fashion..

if Eurasia rockets monday then how much are MTR invested in it? could be interesting day...i had to close my mtr spread bets when oxus lost and missed out on the 5 bagger...luckily i'm back in at 1.5p average with double the size of stake

The only thing that might be of any value is the botswana project.

But surely if you wanted exposure to that, you'd be better off buying into MOD directly.

MTR own just 30% of the JV with MOD resources.

But MOD Resources is only valued at £25m in total.

Shame that they're curtailing their asset trading arm. I thought it was a great idea, not only because of the capital gain opportiunities, but also because of the opportunities for joint ventures, and collaborations it also offered...

The other important thing here which had me a bit concerned was the licence position on the t3 and other areas under the mod/Mtr jv jurisdiction.

Good to see that this has been resolved, with 2 year extensions granted by the Botswana govt.

A significant risk mitigated...

And I'd totally forgotten about the jv interest in coal/uranium and gold that Mtr has with Kibo mining....
