22/3/2007 15:40 | looked at these this morn, whats gone wrong here then??? | bigbobjoylove
22/3/2007 15:38 | afx Leading the risers was AIM-listed Spanish-based estate agency group Medsea Estates, up 40.74 pct, or 5-1/2 pence to 19 after it turned in record full-year profits of 2.9 mln stg. The current year has started well and forward bookings are up on last year, the company said. | andrbea
22/3/2007 15:34 | Gaurdian On Aim Medsea Estates, the Spanish-based estate agency group, was 5.5p better at 19p after it announced record annual profits of £2.9m, and said forward bookings were up on last year. | andrbea
22/3/2007 14:27 | Nice bit of steady buying but I don't think punters have woken up to this one yet, there are dozens of companies with a far greater M/Cap and no profits at all MEA is well under valued now and could go all the way to 100p IMO Also the future looks good for steady rising profits. The Group is now able to focus more on Euromed Investments, a division which, I believe, has immense potential. Euromed, through which we invest in our associate companies and thereby earn a share in their profits, has already procured exclusive selling rights to the national and international market for Residencial Argos Sol, a large development in Murcia. Our share of the development profit is likely to be in the region of 6 Million. In addition, existing developments at Frondoso Valley and Torre del Obispo have now been sold to the extent of 30% and 75% respectively. During the year we further strengthened our management team with the appointment of Graham Jeffs as Finance Director and we continued to recruit key personnel for our rapidly growing Italian operation. As already indicated, the current year has started well and our forward bookings for client visits are higher than at this point last year. The Board anticipates further organic growth from our existing operations and we also believe that there are opportunities to build on the firm foundations of Medsea's geographic spread. It is too early to make forecasts for 2007: but we have set ourselves demanding targets - we look forward to the coming year with optimism. | driver101
22/3/2007 11:34 | jwe I agree also bought in today 50p+ looks no problem. | driver101
22/3/2007 11:17 | Well even after the 40% rise today,on the figures they have announced these look way too cheap so i`m in | jwe
22/3/2007 10:24 | LOL!! Thought we'd see them go ! | double6
22/3/2007 09:49 | Lol...just boobed here! In a rush to go out, instead of placing a 18p stop loss, I put an 18p limit sell order & guess what......!!!! Oh well... | tonyx
22/3/2007 09:32 | tony was planning to buy at 17p and they pushed the price up . Must be a few delayed trades to have pushed it to over 20p. i'll leave it now but good spot. still look cheap. | sos100
22/3/2007 09:24 | Errr....arn't all shares disposed of in due course?! If it hits my sell target or hits my stop loss, I will sell them, be it today or next week. Ive deleted my post. | tonyx
22/3/2007 08:22 | Sorry, Tony, why have you posted the above ?? Is it so we can keep an eye out for them being disposed of in due course ? | double6
22/3/2007 08:04 | 8/07---NO LONGER A HOLDER OF MEA-GOOD LUCK TO ANY HOLDERS | tonyx
31/1/2007 10:24 | Their current mcap is fair value. When I spoke with them before Xmas they see things picking up and are doing ok this year. | flateric
30/1/2007 11:34 | I keep any on this one as I bought a property from them 5 years ago. The property market on the Costa Blanca has been very slow for the last 18 months.Despite this selling prices have held up very well. The way builders keep in business over there is that they sell properties off plan. The buyer pays 50% up front and waits for completion. Sites in the area are beginning to grind to a halt as sales dry up. Existing buyers are seeing completion dates come and go as builders wait to sell more properties upfront. There is a danger that some of these builders will go bankrupt as there are some analysts who are predicting the possibility of a property crash in Spain. While Medsea are only the agents they make their money from taking a commision of 10%+ on each sale their business must be suffering. When they came to market I thought this was a high risk punt as the Spannish property boom was clearly comming to an end. Even at this low share price it is difficult to see any susstained upside, All IMHO. | richandjanet
15/12/2006 12:48 | seems ripe for a rise - perhaps 16p by end of next week | xavico
12/12/2006 13:37 | Why's that? | flateric
12/12/2006 12:53 | im expecting the share price to remain flat for a few weeks but early in the new year we should see a nice rise. | xavico
11/12/2006 12:21 | I agree these look cheap. The announcement at the end of October was quite bullish. Current mcap undr £9m. I've seen alot worse. There was a stock dump last week as well, which was someone just placing stock with a broker gettinmg some cash fro Xmas, i suppose. Fundamentals look ok on this one. | flateric
07/12/2006 16:47 | The share price may well bounce back in the short term. Definitely worth a punt. | xavico
07/12/2006 13:02 | I think these are down to get investors on board - no news - may be will have a spike up (hope not down) in the short term. Lol | xavico
06/12/2006 15:58 | bluenose851 - I was tempted at the original float price and thankfully didn't invest, but these are starting to look quite interesting at these levels. Does anyone know if they have been directly affected by all the problems in Spain with properties apparently being demolished due to incorrect planning approvals etc? | mrphil
06/12/2006 15:34 | any idea why these are down?? | bluenose851
26/10/2006 21:58 | Yes, this might be going somewhere. I was one of the idiots who was persuaded to buy at 85p at the float - thank goodness I didn't invest much. But after an appalling start, I do think the company is showing some potential. I suspect their biggest mistake was to have been persuaded to float on the Stock Exchange! I'm hanging on in the hope of reducing my losses. | siskinbird |
