14% spread - looked like the MMs taking advantage of a few mini-sells to create a treeshake, we'll see. Always possible there's a big order to buy on their books...time will tell.

Dunno why they'd drop it so far on a few paltry sells, but this one can rise just as quickly again.

Don't like to post just for the sake of it - dunno if you got a notification such as this though - just in...
"We advise you that the Company is proposing to change its name to "Bella Media" subject to shareholder approval at an AGM to be held on the 10th September 2003."
So at this point, it really doesn't appear that there will be a reverse takeover by PCM. What will be interesting is if there will be a consolidation of the share issue or what kind of re-organisation they will do with it bearing in mind that the new board members will be given a hefty stake in the new setup. Only 4/5 weeks to see...

Nobody talking today? We're probably all too busy watching our portfolios go red. MMs soaking up the sells a bit today - if the current mm moved off the bid can anyone tell me where the next mm is lined up please?

Songtrader > that was rude of me, sorry.
Basically the name change in itself shouldn't have any effect on the price.
What will affect it though is the terms under which the change occurs ie:new management being offered equity in the company as sweetners for them to manage it properly and bring it to a profit generating machine in as short a time as possible. No doubt the complete number of shares in issue will be shifted around by way of consolidation and re-issue in some way. Make no mistake - this is not a short-term hold but the future should be rewarding.
Have a read of the other thread, you'll certainly have the time.

It is my understanding that there was some off the record talk at the EGM of Bronfman coming on board this week. We may be seeing the first reaction to impending news with today's rise.

There was mention of Bronfman at last weeks EGM - just not in the short formal part of the meeting.

He's already on the board of PCM as a non exec director.

As far as MBF goes, then he's not yet on the board. But they are hoping to get the paperwork signed this week. His arrival I would suggest is "imminent" ( possibly an RNS this week or more likely next is my guess ).

i did'nt realise that...that for me makes it even more intriguing as to why brofman senior is interested in pcm and mbf. Why do you think there was no mention of brofman at either of these companies agm/egm?

Don't forget both dad and junior are on the board of vivendi, and are both involved in the bid. Junior may steal the limelight these days since dad handed over the reigns in the late ninetys. But don't discount dad altogether. After all it's dad who features in Forbes rich list, not junior. Not yet anyway.

Impact in my mind is that they'll have full production tools for IMAX movies provided by VUE and the operation costs for MBF would be at a minimum...Thats for starters...let's face it it's pretty obvious.
Could think of a few more things but I'll leave it there...
