The production report and the past set of results make us wonder about survival.
They still protest about the shooting of a few years ago and are demanding that houses be built for workers at a faster rate.
LMI seems to be a loss making company and the shareholders have the social burdens of ownership.
Numerous rights issues and no doubt yet another down the line.

The unions are killing this company,poor relations with many 'safety' stoppages.
No chance of a profit and the cash burn must be horrendous.

cudmore - you claim PJM is short, but most people on ADVFN who claim to have a wonderful gift of predicting future share prices after the event I believe never have the balls to short in the first place and give it the big "I AM" or even know how to! :-)

I struggle to see why people are surprised today, over 8m shares traded .... a bit of a recent increase in Pt Price but SA X-R strengthening about the USD. Production problems, no $250m Fx Profit to bail it out, restructuring hasn't worked and the big one - an acceptance that they will not now be cash neutral at current prices - it's got a long way to fall yet. A horror RNS.

Daybreaker....thanks for your thoughts....I agree it needs to be thought over carefully...whether to sell and place funds in other holding...I am really annoyed with myself though saw prod report but was not expecting 20 per cent drop...I should have sold this am

You really have to make up your own mind. If you sell at a loss, where else will you put it to recover loss? Where ever you put it, how long will it take to recover the loss, months, weeks days?? What if in that time whilst you're waiting, Lonmin recovers back or nearer to your average? Do you see next production report better than current?

All these points need to be analysed before you reach decision.

Glad I bailed out when I did. Keep an eye on AST......report out next week could see them rocket. Up 45% yesterday alone.

These violent pgm price moves are really something, it's impossible to read a trend. One moment they move with the precious metals then suddenly they have a life of their own.
Mind you it is fun seeing these stream of false share price calls, I hope he is not using real money!

Absolutly nothing to do with bull trap,and only to do with platinum and palladium.The price moves mostly along with this.If the PGMs had risen,would yesterdays buyers be idiots .No Tomorrow may prove to be a big mover though.

I'll agree it looks like a potential breakout, could see 200p here, enjoy it until next qtr results, different story then, more like breakdown....but for now enjoy the ride
