27/10/2016 08:55 | sinkyj - "There are of course alternatives to pots of gold, like your "friend" MM says : raising to inside investors at a discount to the current knock down rate is also a possibility, again." Yes or worse still the company could very plausibly go bust. Others could then just pick over the bones. | michaelmouse
27/10/2016 08:49 | Management are gradually selling off the business by issuing equity to the lowest bidder, which is the main shareholder, just to prolong their wages. Eventually nothing will be left for ordinary shareholders and the main shareholder will walk off with the company. There is no shareholder value creation. Just false promises from an impotent management. As soon as they get cleared out the better, to give investors a chance of recouping something. Just have to hope it happens soon. | whoppy
27/10/2016 07:52 | really Nice report CT, it just shows how underfunded LightwaveRF has been compared with say Tado in Germany (57M), AlertMe(Hive 37M) and yet produced a lot more product. Not sure which patents you are talking about? LW currently hold no patents. They announced they were applying for 3 patents in Feb 2015, 2 applications were published very recently (A1). It's a different thing to get them granted, the majority of applications are refused by the EPO. There are of course alternatives to pots of gold, like your "friend" MM says : raising to inside investors at a discount to the current knock down rate is also a possibility, again. | sinkyj
26/10/2016 18:57 | Would be nice to see a bit of social media activity from the marketing guys, it's cheap and easy, lack of presence on all social media channels, | pmears1
26/10/2016 14:24 | One of those many reports available: | clocktower
26/10/2016 13:55 | sinkyj, Considering the number of reports available out there that show the figures that IoT companies stakeholders have received,it suggests to me that the sum that might be offered would be at the very least 3/4 times the current share price - so not such a bad thing if it were to happen imo. This rainbow might have a pot of gold at the end of it with luck, as the patents could be very valuable. | clocktower
26/10/2016 13:10 | Neos valued at £8.4m after their last funding round....different business model as the customer pays a monthly subscription for using smart devices but shows how undervalued LWRF currently are.Would be could to see LWRF getting a slice of the insurance market. | gozo
26/10/2016 09:20 | Clocktower, It appears everyone seems to be messing LWRF around. Remember when they signed the deal with Megaman: Megaman as well as being the preferred distributor was supposed to build LWRF into their products, small scale lighting control as well as large scale lighting control. We all thought Megaman, a behemoth in lighting, will get us know all over Europe at the least. After an initial trial by lunching the "INGENUIM BLU" for domestic room lighting control, Megaman decided to go with Zigbee and released the "ingenuim ZB". I could go on with a list of apparently great commercial partnerships that has been announced over the years, only for the partner to leave LWRF at the alter .. ..in my view too many times to be a coincidence. When it appears that every company seems to be messing you around then it may be time to look closer at home to find the reason why they are walking away instead of blaming the rest of the world. I would not be surprised either if a helicopter lands on my room, but then what chances of that is there....will I bet money on that happening ...not really , but still I would not be surprised if it happened. | buggy
26/10/2016 08:44 | Knowing India reasonably well, No buggy but it is disappointing, as by all accounts they were messing LWRF about in the way that is common of some I have encountered in business in India. I would not be surprised if LWRF were to report some very positive news any day either, and growth from elsewhere with valuable orders rolling in, or an outright bid for the company. | clocktower
26/10/2016 07:34 | Clocktower, You sound surprised! | buggy
25/10/2016 10:21 | Looks like nothing will come from the deal done with Havells India after all, as they seem to be working with HDL. | clocktower
21/10/2016 20:58 | Not a good day to talk about posting on twitter... | pmears1
21/10/2016 18:21 | Could do with some more PR on social media I think. Will see what I can do on Twitter to get a few mentions | pmears1
21/10/2016 10:56 | A report from September that is worth reading: LWRF at page 176 if I recall correctly. | clocktower
21/10/2016 10:23 | Lightwaverf get a mention in this months House Beautiful UK magazine on page 156. There will no doubt be a growing interest from these home magazines and a lot more intesest in IoT in general which should be positive for the industry. | clocktower
21/10/2016 09:59 | Interesting article about other major Power Suppliers getting into the market: Could result in some being taken over. | clocktower
18/10/2016 20:57 | Interesting posts gentlemen. | nar1
18/10/2016 15:27 | Although a direct competitor with deep pockets, I believe the current Hive TV campaign will also be beneficial to Lightwaverf by the raising the awareness of the new technology and it's capabilities. | tonys8
18/10/2016 13:53 | Sikyj, that's my interpretation. I think CC are now calling the shots. The last RNS mentioned that they were getting repeat orders so the size of the order book is a bit misleading regarding total sales. We will need to wait the results for the full picture.GLA | tonys8
18/10/2016 13:19 | I think you maybe underestimating the resourcefulness of the board and City Capital. Changes have been made: Open Source : New Distribution Partners : Increasing retail prices (as they were well below competitors)- Focus on wrapping up Homekit etc. If there was more positive news and orders from overseas the order book could expand rapidly which should result in confidence returning and a new wave of investors. It is not just the size of the order book it is how often they turn the order book over. They maybe waiting for the right time to suggest that they have in fact sold a lot more than the current order book would suggest. | clocktower
18/10/2016 12:14 | Or management get cleared out and new ones installed who can get the job done. | whoppy |
