26/5/2016 10:56 | Product not at fault here, look good and easy to use. They need continued development like any other system but not many people know about lightwaverf products. Awareness needs to improve, and getting into the big distributors would help this. Or having someone like british gas to advertise lightwave like they do hive. | minione_pm
26/5/2016 10:48 | Not a very upbeat report at all -however a glimmer of hope in the line---- " have been seizing the opportunity offered by some potentially powerful partnerships "-who are they ? What the company needs is to link up with a big outfit or sell to one to realise the potential of the products they have-would be pocket money for some. | loobrush
26/5/2016 10:07 | Been on watch list for over a year - Now removing - so possibly last post. IMO a massive failure to communicate to potential retail customers - a failure to generate a desire for further knowledge by potential retail users - and a failure to close sales - I have been unable to find enough research on competitive systems to determine if this is best in class - or top parity - or if it is too complex for the average potential consumer to understand and install without techie help. To use another example following our friend above re British Leyland - Is it a BSA motor bike - difficult to start and you needed to be a skilled rider to use or is it like the Jap electic start bikes - easy to ride and not leaking oil. !! | pugugly
26/5/2016 09:16 | Maybe the only good thing...Its certainly not going in the correct direction and does start to make you think if it is ever going to turn around. Competition is growing quickly as the IOTs takes off. | minione_pm
26/5/2016 08:53 | Maybe that should be rephrased "the only good thing" instead of "one of the best things" Is this a viable business or yet another AIM stock listed to milk it as long as they can. Things seem to be getting worse, turnover dropping, margins dropping, losses growing ??? | annonymous2
26/5/2016 08:33 | One of the best things about this company is the products, its the implementation of sales that seems to be the problem. These results are bad compared to first half last year, but last year was far from a success overall either. | minione_pm
26/5/2016 08:07 | Worse than expected - what else is there to say - Good Luck to those holding large wedges. Sold, surprised share price holding up so well. | clocktower
26/5/2016 07:52 | Hydrus - LOL. | michaelmouse
26/5/2016 07:20 | 'Revenue of GBP804,000 (2015: GBP1,517,000); up 38% on second half of last year'That's tickled me - what a ridiculous way to try and put a positive spin on things | hydrus
26/5/2016 07:20 | The answer is no. One has to ask why things are taking so long to make any sort of progress. They say it's taking longer than envisaged but then don't say why and leaves you wondering is it the products that aren't selling, the rubbish management, they don't know what they are doing or it's a difficult market. Doubt it's the latter as the market is growing fast and they have the products, more so than any other. There's no strategy that's presented that can give you hope or indeed hold anyone to account. That's probably a deliberate thing and the company will go on bumbling in the dark until someone can take it to the next stage or it just dies. | whoppy
25/5/2016 18:39 | Will we see the poor figures we expect tomorrow along with some very good news about these large orders that the cash is needed for to fill them? | clocktower
25/5/2016 10:23 | As I understand it the new Deta connect range will (in time) be used for the commercial product offering.I completely take your point though sinkyJ..... | gozo
25/5/2016 10:00 | You are right GR, there is a definite gap between full buildings management and the sort of products you buy in Maplins. That's one if the issues for LightwaveRF to resolve, they need a trade or professional range. What they have just isn't completely suitable. Not just the technology but the product's operation has to be looked at, also need suitable margins in there for professional installers. You can't put a product in a commercial space where a few button presses can wipe it's memory or change its operation mode , for example or sell the same product to the trade as retails on special offer in Maplins. | sinkyj
25/5/2016 08:49 | The commercial market has a longer lead in time. Rather than one off installations, they need to get contracts with nstional companies with multiple premises. However, you genarally have to have a trial period with one or two premises before any agreements are reached. This is a potentially big opportunity for LWRF but not in the short term. | greenrichard
25/5/2016 08:45 | The one certain thing is that with a flow of positive RNS the MM will find stock hard to come by and the share price should recover very rapidly. Having been buying around the 14p mark I hopefully will recover the small loss I took previously. | clocktower
25/5/2016 08:21 | I still believe the commercial market is the one to crack | jmf69
25/5/2016 08:20 | Megaman deal was only 3 years I believe and with the way lightwaverf were treated on the global deal with neonlite, probably soured the relationship. Would mean increased costs as they would have to handle their own distribution and stocking. | jmf69
25/5/2016 08:14 | If that is the case sinkyj, then they are clearly in tune with what you and others have been expressing - on the other hand if it is an international deal with an arrangement between Megaman and other majors all the better. | clocktower
25/5/2016 08:09 | Maybe JMF, but with the just Screwfix and Maplins they'll exceed last year's numbers and make more, so only good news. | sinkyj
25/5/2016 08:04 | Maybe about to signal the end of the megaman deal? | jmf69
25/5/2016 08:03 | The distribution must be direct, which means the "zero capital model" by using Megaman distribution is no more. Good news for margins. | sinkyj
25/5/2016 07:40 | Clearly about to report large orders and new customers whoppy. WHOPPY it is at long last. | clocktower
25/5/2016 07:08 | Todays RNS is good news. | whoppy |
