04/7/2016 15:37 | Really good news. Security is the number one reason for getting into Smart home technology. 250K order also not bad, explains the bank facility now. Also interesting play getting in bed with a "real" alarm supplier. Samsung Smart Things has had no end of bad press recently as people couldn't arm their alarms, and being only smartphone based, no real product to use as backup. ERA interesting, number 2 to yale in locks and security, wonder what they paid for Response? "On 3 March 2016, ERA acquired Response Electronics. Response is a specialist sales, marketing and distribution business focused on wireless alarms, electronic access and smart home products. Response owns a number of consumer brands as well as UK distribution rights to a variety of high quality electromechanical products. In addition, Response offers e-commerce expertise and access to established relationships with national UK and online retailers that should help improve ERA’s distribution route to market. The acquisition of Response will also help accelerate the development of wireless alarms, electronic access and smart home capabilities within the Group" | sinkyj

22/6/2016 21:14 | Just a reminder of what was promised from the Havells , signed "supply contract", almost one year ago. ........announces that further to the recent Heads of Terms, it has signed a long term supply contract with Havells India Limited. A bespoke range of lighting, power and cooling control products will be developed and supplied alongside the existing core LightwaveRF range. It is anticipated that in due course the range will be stocked in over 290 Havells' owned showrooms across India. The products to be supplied to Havells are all based on core LightwaveRF technology, encompassing the Company's current device functionality and Apps. The range will also see the addition of more functional air conditioning control to the LightwaveRF portfolio. Havells will fund $37,500 of development costs. All the IP rights concerning technology will remain with LightwaveRF. Havells shall retain all rights in the Customised Products and Havells will, assisted by LightwaveRF, obtain registration over these designs in India. The contract requires 50% deposit with order and final payment ex-works. Volumes are contracted to be a minimum of $500,000 in year 1 rising to $1,500,000 over 3 years. The deal creates a two-way exclusive arrangement for the Indian market and addresses Havells' IoT strategy. | sinkyj

22/6/2016 15:52 | As previously mentioned, told at the AGM that LWRF have gone back and forth with Havells over the spec of the products and have met all Havells requirements. There were some changes that meant an increase in the unit price over that previously agreed but this was accepted. The ball is really in their court to place an order. | greenrichard
22/6/2016 15:27 | This might be of interest to some in view of the deal done with Powerdiverter. They might be doing a similar deal with Havells now they have control of Promtec. "June 16, 2016: Following the acquisition of 51% stake in Promptec Renewable Energy Solutions for Rs 65 crore, Havells India has ramped up its stake in Promptec for an unrevealed amount. Havells has confirmed that it has signed a tripartite contract with its subsidiary Promptec, thus indicating the entry of Havells into the field of solar energy. Following the acquisition, the promoter-side of Promptec will go on to hold a 49% stake in the company. According to the contract, Havells India will be acquiring e a 70% stake in Promptec and the shareholders of Promptec." "Havells India is all set to manufacture and accumulate such solar products at its Neemrana division. Havells said that the manufacturing of the products will begin in several phases from June 2016 itself." | clocktower
