Profit and EPS up a bit. Debt down sharply. Maintained interim dividend. Partial tender offer at 30p.

Traditionally it is about now (this month) that they release the interim figures so i would guess we don't have too long to wait.

I just hope it is steady as you go - NARS probably the best comparison companies ain't doing very well so it still must be tough out there. The one glimmer of hope is that the economy is definately picking up in some areas - although i can't see there being much or any froth in pricing ability in the work JCR will be doing.

Lets hope we win the lottery and Quindell PLC come along and offer us 50p a share for the business as a whole - they have specifically stated they are after body shops and the only obstacle i can see would be if the current "management" prefer things to stay how they are at present rather than losing control.

My suspicion is that they let natural wastage take its course over the summer and then staff up for the busy times and so this is a normal recruitment cycle

A large number of vacancies at them moment, not that one can infer whther that is good, bad or neither.

I guess when you go the the trouble of all logo-ing (is that a word or legit phrase?) the van up and the fact that you should be able to in house repairs for the van - its probably just as easy to buy as lease.

If i were them (jcr) i would be saying to citreon give us a few of these at cost price as we will basically be advertising your product to lots of potential future customers for you on a week in week out basis. don't give us a good deal and we will be advetising a nice ford transit instead.

Purchased? That's a change from the usual leasing.

Only two of us there. We both abstained on 5 (power to increase shares issued by about 1/3rd) and voted against 6 (power to disapply preemption rights up to about 20% issued). Nothing to report. Cautious on their market. Cautious on acquisitions. Cautious on everything really. Tried to draw them on dividend prospects but got nothing. Couldn't get anyone to say anything that wasn't in results and not surprised by that. Anyone who has been before will know what I mean.

I don't envisage a large number of holders to be present so Aleman might (provided he plays his cards right and asks indirectly).

West China Cement were always pretty open about other companies being interested in them but then again they are Chinese. :O)

I am too far away as you know. I would be particularly interested in hearing if management is grooming the company for a sale or if any other company has had a look through JCR's books lately.

AA say car insurance premiums are down 1.4% in Q1 and 4.1% on the year.

Admiral's Q1 trading update claims car insurance rates are down 10% since last year. (Premiums down 9% on similar car numbers.)This bodes well for the year ahead, although the dry weather of late will slow things down into the summer.

They are not given free ..they have an exercise price of 17p which I suspect was based on the price of a matched bargain and so was at market price. I agree it looks a chunky award. Given the behaviour of some delisted companies I am ok so far with the maintained dividend and I think taking out the bad debt they had a very good year. If they continue the work in 2013 and get this thing sold for say £6m I will be very happy. Given the voting system of course you can vote against but you won't win. Go to the AGM and make your feelings known woudl be a good thing to do

The 900,000 options seems very excessive given the performance.

Effectively the directors are getting the best of both worlds.
Now unlisted but still voting themselves options and diluting the interests of the minority.

Can the other shareholders vote against it ?
