Daocana ... the death rate is worse than flu ... evidence based . Just think if we had blindly disregarded Covid for the last 10 months ... no social distancing , no masks , no shielding , no lockdowns .... just how many deaths would there have been then ? You are stupid my friend . The USA gives you the evidence of what can happen if you are stupid .

re haughtonhoney.we can all agree there is a flu virus out there ..i am sorry people have died ..but we have no more deaths than a normal flu year.we have a 99.8% survival rate.there have been around 307 deaths of this virus of healthy people under 7oyrs..the average age of death is 82yrs..the pcr test do not work.cases mean nothing.its all scaremongering.there is no evidence that cov19 existis..the government can not prove it, we have asked.these are all facts.nobody has died of cov19..they have died of a corona virus.there is no need for a lockdown.its a lie and a hoax.wake up.prove me wrong.i have all the evedence.all factual..

On page 28 , today’s Telegeaph has an article as part of its Questor series , about Tharisa , which it rates as a ‘ hold ‘ . With regard to the price of platinum , Questor states “ ... once in a while a chart is so startling that it demands attention . One such right now is the chart of the price of platinum , which is making its sixth attempt in six years to climb sustainably above $ 1000 an ounce . Should the metal succeed , it would break a 10-year downward trend from a peak of around $ 1800 an ounce , give a lift to producers of platinum group metals ( PGMs ) such as South Africa’s Tharisa and raise the issue of whether maybe , just maybe , the global economy is recovering and inflation is poised for a comeback “ . Later the article points out that “ ... rampant deficit creation by governments , ongoing Quantative easing programmes by central banks and a double-digit percentage surge in money supply growth in America and Britain , to name but two , suggest [ a return of inflation ] is not as outlandish a concept as it seems . Shares have outperformed commodities massively for a decade but commodities held the upper hand for the first ten years of this millenium , so we may be overdue another trend reversal “ . Do your own research .

Not wishing to drag this thread down the CV19 arguement path, but here in the UK the over 75s represent ??% of the population but ??% of COVID hospital admissions. Only ?% are under 65s. 7% of the population have life-limiting illness, 40% of the over 65s. How is it sensible to lockdown the majority but not feasible to protect the vulnerable minority?

Further to the aforementioned WH Ireland broker note which was produced in early July this year, the numbers and projections are woefully out of date in all aspects not least their future copper values which they have fixed at $6610 per ton going forward for the next three years - it is widely acknowledged copper will appreciate significantly to match the macro environment progress - copper is currently hovering around $7800.

I fully expect a new updated WH Ireland note soon - probably following on from the interims to reflect the apprecaiation in PGMs and copper.

The 11.2p guide price will be made to look modest IMO.

Jlp operations outdoors and it is still summer so should be able to remain operating. UK winter and we were always told to expect an increase in cases at this time of year.
This is no flu, but so long as the new variant doesn't kill lower down the age profile SA should still be OK. Just the UK that needs to get it's aged population vaccinated.

Done a little bit of reading wrt SA and the virus. They have been out taking blood samples, checking for antibodies. In some of the townships they were getting 25% to 30% positive results. If this is the case, they (SA) should be okay for the next wave as they will have a degree of immunity. Assuming you can't get it more than once etc.
So IMHO, SA should be able to get by without a full lockdown. It's really only old Europe, USA etc that has a serious problem

If there is a limited lockdown in SA on underground miners, the price of PGM's will go vertical imo.

Bullster's BBI now at $2757 per ounce. The WH Ireland attributable production price $1833 per ounce. If they get down to the target $400/oz operating costs, that would be 3.3p per share EPS from PGMs alone.
