I think LLB was into EMED, now ATYM when I was, knows his onions. I used to hold GDP many years back and then sold up. Just been dipping my toe in recently.

Yes frog.. LLB a very nice and extremely knowledgeable person and cool name too, made me chuckle when I first saw it.I've only recently just started watching GDP, I was very impressed with the BOD's maturity to writedown the business, post transition from explorer to recycler. Getting rid of the skeletons so to speak

@platty re HUM, a few familiar names in there including LLB. I shall investigate further as GDP my only good play at present.

Dafrog... Take a look at HUM for a nailed on speculative gold investment.Traded it a few times earlier in the year but current valuation against actual production, EBITDA and forward earnings is crazy. If you thought JLP suffered from an earnings lag then HUM should knock your socks off.

Not a bad strategy Deme. I am looking to buy small units over the next 2-3 weeks. Not selling any.

I used to have shares in STG that owned the Clogau mine. Just looked and no posts for 4 years. 14 tons of gold not to be sniffed at.

I am keeping my main holding but will not be buying any shares in any company this side of the year.

My reasoning is that this new variant of the virus spreads a lot easier. The UK press are now saying a national lockdown after Xmas is now almost a certainty.
With regards to JLP, the new variant of the virus is in SA and there are reports that it is ripping through the continent.
Losta's dream of 6p could happen in theory. All it would take would be for the SA authorities to announce a national lockdown that includes the mining jurisdictions.
I hope not as that would make for a depressing Christmas and new year. Good luck all.

I can see why some newbies are being defensive, as they have bought a share that was tearing higher. But you also have investors like myself who have been here for years with averages ranging from 2p up, know we are worth more, but have also seen what can happen.
I did not hesitate for a second to take my trading pot back out when news of this mutation started to circulate.
And if this drops to around 10p or the SA authorities start to up their restrictions then I will seriously consider selling some of my main holding, crystalising the massive rise that JLP has been on.

Technically I know, but practically never tried, as I only have two options at market price or ar my price. At market afraid to chose as this can trigger a trade at level that I wouldn't like. Need to try one day to see if I get any quote to accept or reject.

Easy to sell or buy ann odd number and call it beforehand to prove its you. I'll do it later with a buy.

Very easy for old Losta to pick out some sell trades and say they were his. Pete Barnes caught him out before doing that on a big buy which was either Barnes own buy or a mate and called him out big time.

I think there might be time weakness from traders closing going into holidays. I am poised ready to pounce.
