05/7/2011 18:37 | Thanks cfro, I will take a look at HCM. It's strange how companies are highlighted. I had APC on my watchlist since November 2007, but never felt confident enough to buy until last week. HYDG only came to my attention last week when I was screening for value growth shares. Lucky timing :-) ic2... | interceptor2
05/7/2011 18:27 | ic2 - OT/ - Will put Both HYDG and APC on my watchlist. APC is one i've looked at before, it could be worth me doing some further research. Im finding it hard to find any new shares in which to invest atm. The only share which i will suggest you take a closer look at (if you havent already) is HCM. Slater holds a hugh stake and its one of his biggest holdings. Not a Zulu by any means but its an extremely interesting co imo. You can currently buy the shares for less than £4.50, i reckon, baring all ok, its worth £10 as a whole. Sorry for the OT here. | cfro
05/7/2011 08:20 | now I see, options exercise | johnv
04/7/2011 21:09 | How on earth did they get those two 60k trades today, all last week all I was offered was 1k. Just had a look today and this. | johnv
04/7/2011 20:49 | Sorry you missed it, I thought you might have picked some up on Friday if you had seen it. I have nearly my full holding now, but it may retreat a bit from here to give me one last chance for a another purchase. Fingers crossed. ic2... Edit - I brought into APC last Wednesday @ 14.1p they are now down to 13.15p, they look overlooked imo. Worth checking the thread and this recent research note from brokers Northland Cap below. | interceptor2
04/7/2011 18:16 | Ic2 - unfortunately for some completely unknown reason i missed you post re HYDG. That is rather unlucky on my part (especially after todays news!) as i scan the BB's day and night but just missed it somehow. :-( I will put HYDG on my watchlist tho an see if it falls back a little. In the mean time i think that the news there today and STAF bodes extrremely well for ITQ. | cfro
30/6/2011 20:50 | cfro - I know you mentioned you wanted some more exposure in the recruitment sector, well might be worth having a look at HYDG, I have just brought an initial position today. The share price fell from 126p to 86p in the last 8 weeks, but I can't see any reason for the fall, but the CEO and Chairman both brought into the fall @ 85p. The problem is there is no real support on the charts, so I have taken a careful approach. A trading statement is due very soon now, which I will await before deciding whether to add or sell. ic2... | interceptor2
30/6/2011 18:15 | Hope you are all strapped in securely.......... | cfro
28/6/2011 17:35 | yep got the 1k I was expecting. Its all yours tomorrow ic2, im off on holiday. Good Luck. | davydoo
28/6/2011 16:54 | 1k buy @ 70 reported @ 16:33, hopefully your one davydoo. I will try again tomorrow. ic2... | interceptor2
28/6/2011 16:37 | davydoo sorry that could be mine at 70p earlier today. I just tried again and and can't even buy 1k now, also tried a dummy sell trade of 4k which was accepted instantly @ just over 68p. No surprise there. Any mention of these as a tip this week will see a very strong increase imo. ic2... | interceptor2
28/6/2011 16:06 | I tried to buy 5000 @ 70, i think ive got 1000 at that price, but doubt ive been able get any more since it ticked up this morning. Will know at the end of the day. | davydoo
28/6/2011 15:10 | I can now understand why the CEO had to subsribe for his 200k from the company, with the ccomment "due to the lack of available stock in the market" I remember very well STAF and IPEL rising very rapidly, both were on my watchlist as I watched from the sidelines. ITQ could increase just as fast imo. ic2... | interceptor2
28/6/2011 09:57 | Well, i'll tell you what...with you guys not being able to get hold of stock in any size is the most bullish thing i've heard. In my experience if one has to wrestle with the MM's to get the number of shares you are looking for, then the stock is going UP...no question. It always pays to pay up in my experience too, as you know that there is nothing available at a lower price. Usually, after you have 'payed up' the stock will move. Of course, on a weak statement these will be hard to sell. But equally on a strong statement these will absoloutely fly. Look at STAF and IPEL. They were and still are very difficult to buy and sell in any number. ITQ is no different imo. | cfro
28/6/2011 09:08 | fwiw - I did pick up 1k of stock, and will look to add if these become more liquid on a day with a few sellers about? ic2... | interceptor2
28/6/2011 08:48 | I've been trying to add the past few days too. Also only offered 1k lots, so didnt bother. Have tried a little harder this morning with a limit offer, wait and see. | davydoo
27/6/2011 22:16 | No luck, I was only offered 1k at a time which wasn't worth bothering with. Imagine trying to sell these on a weak statement. I will keep my initial 3k investment and proceed with caution. ic2... ps. I couldn't resist some more cmh today :o) | interceptor2
27/6/2011 18:24 | Hope you got your top-up ic2 before these moved! ;-) | cfro
26/6/2011 13:54 | I agree about buying at market which I normally do, on Friday I was in for the first 15 minutes of trading and couldn't buy any number. At least I'm here all day tomoorow, so should pick some up. ic2... | interceptor2
25/6/2011 18:50 | Limit orders are a complete waste of time imo. I ALWAYS deal 'at the market'. I used to use them years ago but had so many arguments with my broker for not fullfilling them that i gave up trying. The problem i used to find is that you never really know exactly what price to set your limit at. It will always be at the 'wrong' price. Ie. if the spread is 60 - 64p say, and the stock is illiquid, you put a limit order into your broker for 64.2p say to enable you to get you fill. But what happens if some bigger fish has plans to buy much more than you and they jump in just before you? Obviously they would move the market away from your order giving you no chance whatsoever to get your number of shares. The small player is ALWAYS at the back of the que. Its only the MM's who can 'see' behind the scenes and know the 'true' market. I know that ITQ is illiquid but none more so than STAF or IPEL. And boy didnt they go when the buyers moved in! I remember IPEL doubling in just a few days. I think ITQ could well do exactly the same thing given the right newsflow. I also remember my first purchase of STAF when it was mentioned on the CR bb. The sahre price shot up initially to about £1.40 or so. By the time i got round to buying it had moved a couple of pence more. The spread was £1.38 - £1.46...mid price £1.42. I had to pay two pence over the offer so i paid £1.48 for my batch. It was worth the extra effort tho! ;-) My experience thus far with ITQ is to buy in £2000 lots. I have found that i can buy quite easily like this and can buy also inside the spread. | cfro
25/6/2011 11:15 | They gave an update mid July last year, unfortunately mid summer isn't a great time for TU's to impress, might be a good time to acquire or add though. | paleje
25/6/2011 10:22 | Because I was out yesterday, I left a limit order to add to my holdings which was never filled. It was only a small amount due to ITQ being so illiquid, which is why I wouldn't hold too many here. I noticed that the shares are tightly held with Gary Ashworth holding 40%. I wondered why they paid cash for this weeks acquisition, when a placing would have helped liquidity and helped the balance sheet. If the institutional demand was there. With a the treble whammy this weak of the earning enhancing acquisition, brokers raised forecast and CEO major share purchase, I believe we have just seen an important turning point imo. I will try again on Monday to add to my holdings, if ITQ is mentioned in the press soon and buyers appear the price could move quickly. ic2... | interceptor2

24/6/2011 11:58 | We've got another tick up guys! ;-) Just need to break that resistance at 68p..... | cfro
23/6/2011 18:13 | :0))) Yep, well spotted ic2! I did time it well. Was going to wait a little while longer to see what the overall market was going to do but saw the up-tick and a flurry of buying and did wonder if something was up. Decided to buy there and then. And after todays news will most likely buy more. Mark braund buying heavily is the best form of confidence one could wish for imo. I think we now have all the evidence we could need as investors that everything is OK. I am very happy now having started bullish then turn mildly bearish and back to being very bullish again. :0)) | cfro |
