30/11/2016 12:28 | As far as the drones are concerned, the cost of batteries for drones is horrendous and I think IEH could do very well out if. I've seen quotes for thousands of dollars for batteries to sustain a commercial drone. Charging the same amount for keeping the drone in the air four times as long as batteries could bring in quite a revenue stream but, like everything else, we'll see. Did the Indians negotiate so hard they killed the GTL deal? I think, with the UK wanting a post-Brexit trade deal with India we may not have heard the end of the GTL deal .... and anything that improves air quality should get government clean-air funding ... from India ... but maybe part of the UK's foreign aid budget ...... | dean windass
30/11/2016 12:28 | Sorry to see the major setback; writing was on the wall @the £30m rescue, pitifully small given the field and GTL was talked about to be financed separately and not as an asset . Old board kidded themselves that they would securitise indian revenue at UK credit rates . Something is dreadfully wrong; The bread and butter FCs for Taxis and bikes seem to have gone to sleep. They need a rabbit or two or Abdul has done his £30m It will be a painful road back, but I think there is enough to fuel a recovery; More money will be needed for sure and it will depend on the Ln Note owner's greed as to how a deal is cut with any new funding. As usual the shareholders will be stuffed | norbus
30/11/2016 12:19 | Do those numbers include capital expenditure?. As that might account for some of the losses. | ibug
30/11/2016 12:07 | Will Essential Energy be profitable after ditching GTL?.Presumably they have been paying for their management services. | ibug
30/11/2016 11:45 | That's the note. | hutch_pod
30/11/2016 11:36 | this one? Basically they are trading at the lower end compared to similar companies and that they need to do some deals going forward. | filster
30/11/2016 10:58 | Will do, cheers! Actually the share price seems to be recovering, maybe the initial shock has now subsided and the impact now understood? | filster
30/11/2016 10:52 | Worth reading Edison's view on this from 23rd - summed it up well. Basically their forecasts already stripped out any potential profits from this, even if the interim agreement was replaced... | hutch_pod
30/11/2016 10:24 | I'll need to go over the figures again.. but it was contributing to the revenue and it was their big push in to DP&G.. It was operating on an interim basis. So the actual contract may have been on better terms. They only had 7 towers out there and it seemed like India Telecom were paying a lot for 7 towers. There's a further statement to come out at a later date, so maybe it won't all be bad news. Obv. the market has taken the news quite badly! ETA : a few delayed sells to come out of today I think! | filster
30/11/2016 10:16 | It was loss making and draining cash, no? They didn't have the 55million to complete. Should have walked away, 6 months ago. | bjfanc
30/11/2016 10:10 | This is bad. From the RNS " This interim contract is estimated to have a revenue of cGBP7m a month with minimal gross margin. In the year ended 30 September 2016 the Essential Energy segment recorded Revenue of GBP85.1m, an adjusted EBITDA(1) loss of -GBP2.5m and a loss after tax of -GBP5.5m. " So we've lost that revenue stream - the only real revenue stream of any significance they had in place. Although they do then go on to say.. " As noted at the annual results presentation, the outlook for the core business is not considered to be materially dependent on the completion of the GTL transaction and the Company remains committed to securing commercial opportunities for its Air Cooled technology. " Which to me indicates they knew the outcome a few weeks or even months ago. Argh! Cross with myself on this. This also means that the Annual Statement just published looks way better than it should do as well!! | filster
30/11/2016 10:04 | Hmmm.... should have guessed this was happening due to the wording in the Annual Statement 'the company isn't dependent on the GTL project going forward' or words to that effect. FFS! Pulled the trigger a day too early. | filster
30/11/2016 09:58 | I agree, to me, they were getting shafted in India. | bjfanc
30/11/2016 09:52 | Yes, doesn't seem like bad news actually | hutch_pod
30/11/2016 09:44 | Should have got out of this loss making contract months ago. | bjfanc
29/11/2016 14:22 | A major long term hydrogen development in Britain's, Teesside using the existing gas pipeline grid.. Scheme to make hydrogen on Teesside and power homes in Leeds at centre of energy revolution plans Plan calls for four huge production units called Steam Methane Reformers to be built on Teesside to produce enough gas for the Leeds homes WHY INNOVATION IS KEY TO TEESSIDE INDUSTRY Teesside is leading a new national energy revolution, with the promise of thousands of jobs and millions of pounds of investment. At the centre of the plans is an audacious scheme to make hydrogen here and pump it through the National Grid to Leeds where it will be used to heat and power thousands of homes. Teesside already produces around half of the country’s hydrogen and uses it for industrial processes. This means once again our set of unique skills has been recognised nationally and, because hydrogen produces more carbon than natural gas, our world-leading capacity for capturing and storing carbon would be absolutely vital. The plan calls for four huge production units called Steam Methane Reformers to be built on Teesside to produce enough gas for the Leeds homes. Northern Gas Networks revealed details of the project at the launch of a report calling for the Leeds city region conversion in 2026-29, followed by a rollout across the UK, all using existing modern pipelines. | ibug
29/11/2016 14:12 | MANUFACTURERS more committed to H2 powered transport Honda is releasing its new fuel cell vehicle before 2016 comes to a close Honda has plans to launch its new fuel cell vehicle, the Clarity Fuel Cell, before the end of this year and the first three of these vehicles have already received their license plates. The Clarity Fuel Cell is considered one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in the United States, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA has given the Clarity fuel Cell with a range rating of 366 miles and the vehicle can travel 68 miles per gallon of hydrogen fuel. Fuel cells could have a bright future in the transportation space Hydrogen fuel cells are the future of transportation, according to Andrew Chiarelli, product specialist with Motocars Honda. These energy systems have become quite popular throughout the auto industry. Fuel cells generate electricity by consuming hydrogen, but this process produces no harmful emissions. Fuel cells can also operate on par with conventional engines in terms of performance. Honda has become a very strong supporter of hydrogen fuel cells and intends to promote its new Clarity Fuel Cell vehicle quite aggressively in the coming months. | ibug
29/11/2016 11:11 | Back in today - around a 8-9% increase in my holding. :) I feel that it's around the lowest point it's going to go to - unless there is no news between now and around April... | filster

28/11/2016 15:25 | Automotive Accelerating automotive evolution Today there are over 800 million vehicles on the road, with the number expected to reach two billion by 2050. Despite significant internal combustion engine developments to reduce emissions, there is a clear need for a cleaner, commercially viable alternative. The required target of 80% decarbonisation by 2050 in Europe means a 95% decarbonisation of the road transport sector. It is a widely held view that only hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) can provide the required mix of emissions reduction and range in both primary power and battery electric vehicle (BEV) range extender configurations. Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells in a hybrid electric configuration are viewed as a highly efficient alternative to the internal combustion engine, offering practical driving ranges, fast refilling times, exhilarating performance and dramatically reduced overall emissions. Intelligent Energy proprietary fuel cell systems are modular and scalable, enabling our partners to deliver cost-effective and high value solutions to the fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) and fuel cell range extender (FCRE) markets. Intelligent Energy provides: Superior fuel cell power density A cost-effective, accelerated route to market Proven, de-risked, technology platforms A competitive, low-risk path to market | ibug
25/11/2016 17:44 | The company have income from essential Energy India which was excluded from the numbers because the firm intends to sell the wholly owned asset...it has enough money to last a year to fifteen months. | ibug
25/11/2016 17:38 | ibug , do you consider this company is financially secure without the need for more cash in the next 6 months , last accounts are not to clever to say the least. | jotoha2 |
