IP already factored in 30 mn loan. So if IP will bring more money over and above 30 mn then it would be matter of discussion. Secured lender has to be paid first which in this case is meditor. All equity investor like us and other big party like GIC are big big losers.

Ibug was paid chap from IEH or brokerage house it seems. Otherwise he has to be here and to accept that his bull sheet never worked.

To me this is the time to refinance this business because market is slowly slowly going towards H2 economy and in long run IEH would be benefited.

They did two historical mistakes..
1. Not closing india based GTL deal
2. Not investing in Ballard power when Ballard was broken

India based deal could have been grand success for essential energy and for IEH both becuaSe IEH would be able to push their costliest product into indian market without any price war or competition and once they get volume to build they would have been able to reduce cost and then can compete everywhere.

Only in 2016 end, this group woke up that with limited cash they have to perform.

look back at IEH's RNS... They have put out similarly bleak RNS in the past suggesting the company may not be a going concern. It's a hard one to call this... There is a lot to be said for holding tight since the IP will be worth a fortune... Enough for Meditor to get their share and other shareholders to still do nicely... Having said that, I envy anyone getting in at these levels... An historic low today? There are ways and means of fixing IEH's problems.... If the UK government was smart, they'd realize the amount of money that the treasury would not get from IEH's IP if it was sold off cheap abroad.... An RNS like this might put pressure on in the right places to move things forward... They haven't said they're not a going concern... They seem to be saying the company is close to being profitable if some deals being discussed come off... Either IEH is saved or there is a bidding war for the IP... If shareholders get shafted, as usual, there will be write issued... In the the long run, it may be safer for shareholders not to be shafted.... We'll see. Hardly worth selling at these levels... And I'm sure it would be in the interests of some if PIs Did sell out at these levels... I would expect IEH to rise a bit from here so, once again, a load of traders will be piling into IEH.... They will sell as IEH rises again... If it rises... And slow recovery but, if deals are being signed.... Who knows? I'd have preferred a better RNS but it's not All doom and gloom...

Cracking oatent. Cheers Ibug. IEH up nearly 10% already today. Sadly, IEH have always been a bit RNS shy... which I appreciate when some companies post an RNS when the CEO changes their underpants or knickers. There IS, I presume, some news on why there is so muxh volume recently but, IEH, typically, are schtum about it.

The American trades are reported either as historical or delayed transactions and sometimes as OTC trades...the trading behavior observed over the past week suggests the 300K BUYS that sometimes appear as pairs along with the 1.3 million Buy just a week ago are from the same source.

It might be a corporate like Luxfer-GTM because they setup a very large new factory last December with an R&D H2 Applications division and last February entered into a collaboration agreement with IEH to jointly market Luxfer-GTM H2 products as a partnering.

Maybe either Luxfer or another corporate like Suzuki are interested in buying IEH or a significant IP/ manufacturing deal is soon to be announced.

Either way some really good news can be expected based on trading behavior alone given the recent 8 day rise on the share price unqualified with an RNS from IEH...very odd imo.

Ballard Energy leased out their 100KW FC design to Volkswagon on a three year non-exclusive arrangement last September --- perhaps IEH can do something like that with permission from Meditor because they only have a Vanilla Repayment CLN and interest payment are still being made, so no problem with Meditor agreeing to a lease or sale agreement. Ballard got an estimated $100 million USD from that deal.

But IEH have far more IP than Ballards --- some 1900 patents or pending patents in the mix. The second largest patent library for fuel cells only rivalled by GM who have 2200 patents but many of those date back 50 years. Thus IEH is a world leader because their patents are current and the only FC business that can boast a 98% operational efficiency; other designs only reach 60% efficiency, making IEH a world tech leader.

What would happen if till Dec ieh is become cash exhausted??

And: they won't be paying salary and interest to CLN. Holder.

What will happen then?

Ans: employee will be left and Meditor will either issue further debt without any security or it will trigger conversation of CLN to equity.

What will happen if they convert CNL to equity at 8p?

Ans: meditor would become owner of IEH with highest holding and would deserve the decision power and voting right.

Then what?

Ans: meditor can sell IP Portfolio and recover their previous investments as well as their loan. IP wealthy would be distributed to all share holders based on IP valuation and the holding.

What is the best for meditor?

Ans: if meditor sees the value in IEH business and future revenue build up for long long term basis, then they would prefer IEH to be default in paying their interest so that they can convert CNL and take ownership of the company. Then they would run it if they can else they would sold it if IP has big big big valuation.

If meditor sees FC Business difficult world wide, then they want IE to break the ground and keep running and surviving atleast so that they can earn interest.

Best position for meditor is that IEH get order but share price remain below 8p, business should be promising not IE point of view but FC point of view and IP valuation should be big enough and salable to recover all their dues. But if ieh is getting order share value is bound to jump, so it is very likely that meditor trigger CNL conversion on the verge of IEH strike any deal and that is the best for Meditor.

Dear Ibug, unhv done good effort and brought more clarity about CLN. but in ur drafting, every where u hv mentioned that "when" IEH become cash positive etc
. Which is again prediction only. Company has just 9 mn cash in bank and they have Luxfer order which needs more cash to manufacture the fuelcell stacks and from where this cash would come. Either luxfer pay IEH 100 percentage in advance or IEH buy raw material on credit and then pay them when they received payment from luxfer. So luxfer deal has improved the sentiment but not the fundamental. PINC has bought only one fuelcell and so far neither PINC nor IEH has confirmed about the successful Ness of that experiment and future order. Lee Juby of IEH is going to visit UAV Expo which is going to arrange in Belgium to search customer. As far as tech lead is concerned in the DIGIMAN project which is of the value of 3.5 mn pound had very less chance that IEH can get anything from that. That money is for that project and ieh might take little as expenditure or may be nothing. Burgman schooter is still under trial. So as far as concerte cash order is concerned, that is only luxfer and so far company has executed that orders or not is unknown. IEH has mandate to improve stock price and for that even small news they flash through RNS. In recent RNS of new launch of FCM 800 Series, Martin bloom said that " now orders are being taken" but they have not given any further details of customer and quantity. Moreover they have not mentioned that because of confidentiality reason they are not providing more details which creates doubt on degree of correctness. Recent Edison report published on june 1st has not given any details and given forecast of 24 Mn revenue of the year with 16 mn yearly expenditure for employees cost and very little money left for material and others, it means cash burn is still there and being cash positive by this year seems impossible. So sometimes you have mentioned that IEH might not need any more funding is not digestive. Month on month risk is getting increased infact which they need to address. If funding is genuinely not needed that definitely market researcher would take a note of this which is not at all happening. Company which is badly search for find just 3 months back can how come become cash positive?? Some realistic approach u have to have while u predcit
otherwise it would be misguiding to fellow investor.

Would I be right in thinking IEH get paid by companies to co-operate and allow companies access to their IP and tech and this results in the likes of Samsung issuing their own patents which themselves include IEH tech?

It'd be weird if NO IEH tech was in any of the products of patents coming from the companies IEH are working with ...

Now, I noticed a piece about some scientists in China two days ago who have developed flexible fuel cells .... yet IEH already have something similar patented earlier this year ... here and IEH are still applying for patents ...

Ibug .... I'm about to go driving for about 4 days so my comms will be useless .... I have an idea for research for you .... have a look at IEH's competitors and see what their IP portfolio is like. It's quite possible that if they have no IP they will be leasing it from those who DO have IP. IEH have created their IP over thirty years of research ... Ballard bought the IP they sold to Volkswagen ... it might be interesting since, 8and I believe IEH use this as a selling point), IEH's IP is very useful to anyone who wants to get into this market. IEH does non-exclusive JV deals giving access to IEH's IP. In the long run, I reckon this bodes well as why go into a JV with a company that ultimately has to license IP from IEH?

Something I think I mentioned before ..... is IEH's fabulous potential to become "patent trolls" which can be very lucrative .... I had shares in Medaphor and they got hit by a patent infringement case .... their share price nosedived .... and is still falling .... I'm glad I got out relatively early .... I still think the company may do well by the way ... though I'm not tipping it (MED id the code on the LSE)... anyway, anyone who uses IEH's tech illegally may well be due a kicking ... usually companies settle out of court since it's bad enough being caught infringing patents without paying the legal bills of both sides as well ....

This is why IP is so valuable ..... but do try and check up on the IP owned by other companies providing HFCs for drones ..... I think the strategy for patent trolls is to let competitors implement the tech they don't own then give them a good kicking ... also, it's a good way of getting customers of those infringing patents to become customers of those who own the IP
