Seems like a fair sized contractor with plenty of customers....including Vale as it happens, the owner of the only potash mine in the country......along side which, we have two projects of our own...

Easy to get mixed up with nomenclature here....this is not a potash site or potash production, which is a more complex refining procedure altogether....this is DANF (Direct Application Natural Fertilizer) which they are able to dig and sell "as is"...

Further wet sieving can split the product for different markets....but initially, it is just dig and sell...

HMI are just selling the crushed ore initially. They may do processing of the ore to improve the product and thus the selling price but crushed ore is what they are going for to start off with if I remember correctly. My moment of self-inflicted doubt has now passed lol

Interested in people's opinion on this:

"Stage 2 - relating to the mining and stockpiling of an initial 50,000 tonnes of ore."

Does 50,000 tonnes of ore contain 50,000 tonnes of phosphate? I would have thought not? Could easily be wrong. Does someone know the answer? If 50,000 tonnes of ore does not contain 50,000 tonnes of phosphate then the calculations we have been making are way off.

Yes, I don't think the implications for production of this mornings RNS have quite sunk in yet.....the first time we have actual figures and time frames to put a value on it.....

In the absence of volume, the MMs will continue to manipulate the price....there have been multiple large buys around 20p over the last few days and it smacks of a large buyer wanting in at that price....

No wonder they want to get on with proving up more of Arapua.....the 3% is 883kt which at that rate of production, will only last a couple of years....so expect more news going forward as they expand the resource....

Post from Swingy on LSE....figures look about right....DYOR etc....

40 days to produce 50,000t
Then repeat
That's potentially 450000tpa
I'd love to know what it will be selling for!!
The conservative estimate of $50 = 18.9m. Use a p:e of 7 gives you $132M
That's a fair price of (using an exchange rate of 1.3)
£1.08 fair value
Please check my figures - I've used a p:E of 7 which seems fair value in the current climate.
Remember this is only a very small part of this company

With production of 50,000 tons how much cash will thus generate for HMI ?

ARAPUA FERTILISER PROJECT UPDATE - APPOINTMENT OF MINING CONTRACTOR

Harvest Minerals Limited ("Harvest" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of DK Transportes, Demolição e Locação Eireli ("Eireli") as the principal contractor at its Maximus Phosphate Project, located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

Eireli's contract comprises two stages, namely:

-- Stage 1 - relating to civil works including construction of site access and the stockpile areas and also including removal and stockpiling of the overburden from the planned open pit. This work is expected to take approximately 30 work days to complete; and

-- Stage 2 - relating to the mining and stockpiling of an initial 50,000 tonnes of ore. This work will commence immediately once the Trial Mining permit has been granted. This stage is expected to take approximately 40 work days to complete.

Eireli is currently mobilising the required equipment and personnel and is expected to commence work at the project site within the next seven working days.

Executive Chairman of Harvest, Brian McMaster, commented: "The award of the Environmental License last week allows Harvest to commence the initial civil groundworks in preparation of mining. With the appointment of Eireli, we will now begin constructing the site access, preparing the ROM pads and stripping the overburden. The completion of this is expected to coincide with the award of the Trial Mining permit, allowing us to start production around the end of October, well ahead of schedule."

It may be that with the price rise, the value of the total holding in HMI held by Miton may have had to be reduced to keep within prospectus limits. Let's hope that is the case and it's not just profiteering at PIs expense.

Profit taking is always easy for the big boys. We plebs just have to sit and watch until they finish. It wont be long before production and then cash starts rolling in. Then we should see the price really begin to move.

This has held up well then in the face of the selling and probably would have gone higher had Miton not been selling so heavily.

Price appeared to be manipulated yesterday to enable a few large buys to go through under 20p....wonder if we'll have more of that today....when news drops they may find it a more difficult task!
