28/5/2014 11:40 | ---ADDS BROKER COMMENT AND UPDATES SHARE PRICE--- Hardide (LON:HDD), the provider of advanced surface coating technology, said demand is returning to more typical levels after destocking by a major customer. Revenue in the six months to 31 March rose 4% to £1.31mln from £1.26mln in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. | aim_trader
28/5/2014 09:57 | Good point. I think now is a good time to invest as they have capacity in place -key point for me is the impact of operational gearing here. Any incremental sales will show up nicely in terms of higher profits. | meijiman
28/5/2014 09:17 | Closer than ever, and clear indications they wish to expand. I wonder if that will require additional cash? However re-opening the US base may be more about the requirement to have a second discrete manufacturing base - a requirement for some clients / potential clients. They mentioned this two years ago at the AGM. Best wishes- Mike | spike_1
28/5/2014 09:11 | It seems to be coming together nicely here after years of false dawns. The technology clearly works and can save money for customers. It's the route to market that has been hardest thing to gain but when the likes of GE buy in others will take notice. This has potential to be a 10 bagger. It could kick off with the aviation linked orders. | meijiman
28/5/2014 08:44 | Looking forward, an increase in UK plant capacity is being planned and detailed discussions and planning are underway regarding a resumption of production in the USA | nick100
25/5/2014 11:32 | They better have wifi at euro Disney. Don't want to miss any of the action next week. Should have really emailed Hardide to have the news brought forward a week.RegardsRRJ | rogerramjet
22/5/2014 21:07 | This link I found found on another BB mentions Hardide.Best regardsRRJ | rogerramjet
21/5/2014 14:09 | Thanks for the prompt on the ROV (remotely operated vehicle) Roger, another excellent test result for the HDD process. All we need now is a favourable out-turn from the seemingly never-ending aerospace testing - I learnt on my visit to Bicester that the testing has taken this long simply because the specification was changed when well into the original test run so, a bit like 'snakes and ladders', testing had to go all the way back to square one! Looking forward to the Interim results announcement (hopefully within the next ten days). The Mingy Machs appear to not want to play until then so have dropped their bid price (whilst maintaining their offer price), effectively widening the spread to over 10%. Shame!! | ansc

20/5/2014 10:55 | Thanks Roger - true, alas! I was around 10p, then thought earlier this year, "What the Hell!" and added around 1p. 4p would see me right. So I suppose mentioning a takeover is talking my book. Being realistic, of course, any bidder would want hard evidence (ahem) of the commercial prospects first. | jonwig
20/5/2014 09:51 | Jonwig - nice to here from you again. You were quite a hdd stalwart back in the day then nothing. | rogerramjet
20/5/2014 09:45 | ansc - no, I meant working capital, not physical plant capacity. | jonwig
20/5/2014 09:33 | There are a lot of holders that bought this for the long term as a multibagger, I'm sittin and waiting until I see that the share is fully valued looking forward. I have owned this for a long time and it is finally bearing fruit, I am not selling for at least as couple of years. GLA | greg the grinch
20/5/2014 09:25 | Their mothballed plant in the USA can be up and running within six months if needed so capacity unlikely to be a short term problem; any aerospace order is unlikely to have an instant requirement. Besides which, there is also room for at least a 25% capacity increase in their Bicester setup. | ansc
20/5/2014 09:10 | No-one here has mentioned the possibility of a bid. The company hasn't the working capital capacity to pursue large orders without a risk of over-trading, and any disruptive technology would be better served within a larger group. Recent equity fundraisings were below 1p, so there's a few who'd be glad to accept. | jonwig
20/5/2014 09:07 | The share price will struggle to make much more headway (imo) until news re aerospace testing programmes results is finally announced; there are bound to be plenty of sellers lurking in the shadows - Amati VCT I suspect probably being at the forefront. | ansc
20/5/2014 08:49 | Nothing usefull to say apart from about time.......Whether this is the one or people just getting giddy I don't know but the timing for new orders and aerospace news can't be far off.Best regardsRRJ | rogerramjet
19/5/2014 11:50 | we should shoot past 2.5p | falia
19/5/2014 11:32 | looks like results has been leaked | falia

19/5/2014 09:17 | We must be getting close to hearing the results of the lengthy aerospace testing programmes. Has there been a whisper? | ansc
