I could easily see a technology partnership deal with Vizrt to give more graphics power (essential for Sports) to our Cloud service.

I would call it an important industry announcement one of those deals that might end up being a defining moment in the way everything is connected via internet protocol.


Technically it’s moving from a Video infrastructure world to an internet type connection world which is also more Cloud friendly which benefits us of course.

We should be talking to them so it’s interesting that Ian has also mentioned it.

It’s all background stuff at this stage for investors but NAB is end of the week as you say.

Not only that but they may be allowing share price to drift lower for next round of options. I'd like to pick up a few more at this price but am too heavily invested here already.

Fingers crossed NAB will be positive!

Just added a small 10k shares @ 6.68p to existing holdings. NAB coming, plus Stephen White joining, might bring this back to life. IMHO.

NickB. I’m heavily invested here, but don’t really understand the industry. Is this Vizrt news good for FBT. IM and new sales team seem to think so, as they are all liking and commenting on news on LinkedIn.

The only substantial news since IM joined has been a branding change. I wonder what they actually do on a day to day basis....

TownNews reports in Press Releases since the beginning of March 2019 to 20th March that they have added 10 websites for newspapers. This suggests that organic growth for the year could be 10% or more in a sector noted more for declining sales and revenue. All extra work for FBT with no real effort on their part.

Agree and if I recall the CEO stated (18 months ago) that FBT were moving away from POC's, if so why a 2 year wait?

Change of strategy? Is there a strategy?

Any Deal would be welcome given the total dearth of any large deals (£1M+)and before anybody says it takes 2 years can I remind investors that FBT has been running for almost 20 years... how much patience do shareholders need?

That's what a deal is... one side says £10 billion the other says £1 billion and then the deal is worked out. The UK negotiated the £39 billion. A lot less than Ireland paid to save German and French banks.

I have some close friends working for the EU and they get paid an outrageous amount. It is something I believe is unfair, so can empathize with that. Less so about the hatred for Polish workers. I think the UK and Europe has reached peak Pole anyway, lots of them are returning to Poland. We're short of builders in Ireland now that the Polish have stopped filling that gap. I have to say, I have lots of Polish friends so far have nothing but respect and admiration for them.

Anyway, back to blackbird.

Interesting though Brexit is, could we all agree to ban it from this Board? If the biggest market for FBT in the short term is the USA Brexit is not a relevant investment decision (I speak as somebody with an expatriate family who has already lobbed out over £1K this year because of the mess we are in... personally I would apply a Crassian solution to leading Brexiteers from the City of London to Dover but unfortunately this Board would not allow me to do so as they might deem it unkind)
