Should seem obvious now, brexit has created the need/demand for more business trips. Manchester turning in to a real center of growth prosperity.

Dahhad - qtr 1 was in July. Some good figs and some bad so wip. Serious investors coming onboard now looking at recent trades not surprising looking at regional airport passenger numbers along with hedging in place. Over 3000 flights a week and profitable but valued to go bust.

I agree, since the company made this statement.

18 August 2016

Flybe Group Plc ("Flybe" or the "Company")

Flybe announces that approval from the Company's court was obtained on 17th August 2016 to a Reduction of Capital, involving the cancellation of the amount standing to the credit of the Company's capital redemption reserve in the sum of GBP22.5m. This follows receipt of shareholder approval at the Company's AGM on 27th July 2016 and the previous announcements on 28 June 2016 and 27 July 2016.

The reduction of capital eliminates the accumulated deficit on the retained earnings account of the Company and creates a positive balance of distributable reserves. This balance gives the Board the flexibility to proceed with the share grant of 5% of basic salary to all employees employed as at 31st July 2016, giving employees a stake in the company. The shares to enable the grants will be purchased in the market by the Company's employee benefit trusts.

The share price has risen around 20%, suggesting they purchased at or around the bottom. So 60p could be on the horizon. All IMHO

Dahhad depends what the market thinks is bad, look where the company has come from and how much stronger it is now, this has bottomed out.

Essential - I think it will take good figures to get such a move. I think the half year results are due in November but perhaps a good Qtr1 would start things moving up; certainly a bad Qtr1 would, IMO, put us back into the 30's!

kMann - you keep on talking about share buybacks - yet there hasn't been any RNS' announcing these buybacks. Contrast that with PLP.
