24/11/2002 19:36 | Sorry you sound so down j. Good luck to you too. adios | hillbrown
24/11/2002 16:17 | H, This opens up an old wound, reflecting back, I have learned so much about investing from this debacle.....I lost over 50k..and the news broke on the morning of my anniversary Good Luck to you, I am doing OK j | jimmyloser
24/11/2002 16:11 | The pension black hole was even worse than anticipated. Understand that it is 36 MILLION NOT 10million. Unreal! | hillbrown
09/9/2002 17:36 | Dex. Glad you can still smile!! You re right. I have heard nothing abt the US but hve to confess I am not looking, unlike 6 months ago when I was all over it.... Reprinted from ym 28th Aug post. "Any small amounts of cash that have been raised will be taken by preferential and ordinary creditors, pension black holes, receivers etc. Shareholders come last. Remember, some of the cash 'assets' are not recoverable and some of the companies have been sold back to managements for nominal amounts. None of the assets would have made true values in a receivership." Net is Nettoooo. | hillbrown
09/9/2002 16:12 | Helloooooooooooooo.. Lettuce think about this. Some correspondence from liquidators would be a turnip for the books. Peas - can anyone help me understand how something I own can disappear into thin air without so much as a by or cabbage leaf ??? Seriously, how can we know if there was a shortfall, surplus or what ? Even if they gave the businesses away (i.e. for no premuim over the net assets) ther'd still be a surplus as net assets were supposed to be positive !!!! There must be some kind of final report thing. We never even found out what happened to the USA business did we ? Dave | dexdringle
28/8/2002 20:01 | One thing I havent heard about was the America. Anybody any news. Maybe have been sold/given away whilst I was on holiday.... | hillbrown
28/8/2002 18:05 | Hi jimmy, dex ,HB. Certainly got stitched up by these b*st*rds. Not much we can do if all is sold. This seems to be happening to me all the time. At least Just group( which I'm heavily involved in) looks on the cards for a revival. Jimmy, i have followed Dragon Oil for over a year now. And yes you are right, something is happening.Keep watching! | shell37
28/8/2002 09:42 | makes you wonder if they gave it all away why the banks didn't just keep it running and get their interest paid jimmy - send robinson a letter still full of TAD yes i will never learn take care all p.s. i think Geest's statement showed that market conditions were shafting FSH as well. Still see Mcrae crabsticks in the local co-op and i shed a tear. | dickdasterdly10000
28/8/2002 09:21 | You are both correct. However........there will not be any positive news. Any small amounts of cash that have been raised will be taken by preferential and ordinary creditors, pension black holes, receivers etc. Shareholders come last. Remember, some of the cash 'assets' are not recoverable and some of the companies have been sold back to managements for nominal amounts. None of the assets would have made true values in a receivership. Sorry chaps.... Will have a look at omh, sen and dragon. Tks. | hillbrown
27/8/2002 22:19 | Hi Guys, just logged on I have asked my brokers who act as my nominees to follow this up, they will but said that receivers will also notify all shareholders of any positive news DRAGON OIL...DRAGON OIL...DRAGON OIL You have been tipped the wink dyor/imho | jimmyloser
27/8/2002 21:57 | I'm bombed out. FSH took 75% of my cash and the rest is in OMH (bought at 20p now 5p) and SEN (bought at £1.80 now 30p) !!!! Did buy PRU at £4.20 and sold at £5.10 (to soon) recently so still got a bit of the old talent !!! Re FSH, surely if the receivers had £20M left over they'd have to tell someone !!!!???? Dex | dexdringle
27/8/2002 21:01 | DEX. Flipping heck mate! Not a lot to get excited about is there! I am in limboland, four trades in four months including two lots of BAY bnought for 137 and 138.25 and sold for 1.45. Much too early. i am losing it or panicking or something. Also topped up Fyffes and Rank for the long haul. Think you will find receivers have no obligation to tell you anything. Absolutely outrageous. You may find something out if you contact them. May, mind you, if you aske nicely. Hope you are more active successful than me at present. I am gutless really and only backing what I feel are dead certs!!!! | hillbrown
27/8/2002 20:25 | Says "buys" not "was given for nowt". This suggests a figure over and above net assets in the books doesn't it (which you'd expect really) ? Dex | dexdringle
27/8/2002 20:23 | Hillbrown Still a miserable git ehhhh !!!!!! Jimmy - go for it. I still think we should have eeked out 5p a share here as a very minimum. Anything less was Giveaway City.......... Assuming KPMG must publish some kind of closing balance sheet / statement at some point otherwise how would we ever know what happened in the end ? Dex | dexdringle
21/8/2002 16:04 | I accept this as a lost cause, feel that answers are still needed, just to close the book, Have asked my brokers who are my nominees to write for answers, if there are any Suspect that if there is any news KPMG will notify s anyway J Keep an eye on Global GLG | jimmyloser
21/8/2002 11:18 | Chasing lost causes is good for your sense of indignation but bad for your blood pressure. | hillbrown
20/8/2002 21:58 | Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Dex | dexdringle
15/8/2002 20:34 | Read to-day that KPMG are reported to have sold the last of Fishers sites, Macrea bought the remaining Scottish fish businesses I would now like to write to KPMG, can any of you guys give me a name and address, I will let you know if I get a reply I do not expect anything, but would appreciate knowing, also feel strongly enough about writing to Howard Davies at The FSA, we have all been mislead by Robinson We anticipate meeting analysts forecasts) and it should not just be laid to rest, any addresses gratefully received. Now for the revolution..who is with me | jimmyloser
15/8/2002 00:11 | What is being done about this situation and what else can we do ? Has anybody had any legal advice ? | top loser
14/8/2002 11:47 | I saw on Bloomberg (or whatever) that a 'fresh & frozen food' company in US which has annual sales of £700M was recently sold for £2,000M. That is a value of 3 times sales!!!! FSH, in a similar field, sold for.....what was it now.....ah yes - nil. I sense a stitch up here......... Dave | dexdringle
19/7/2002 18:34 | market_leader If you want to ramp up NWD do it on the NWD board. If you are thick then perhaps this will be more to your level. CLEAR OFF | tyranosaurus
19/7/2002 17:09 | market_leader I so hate it when idiots put comments on a thread about a specific share relating to a completely different and unrelated share ! If you took the time to read this thread you'll find that FSH went bust recently taking our cash down the swannee with it. We're unlikely therefore to be wildly enthusiastic about a stupid unsupported comment like yours..... | dexdringle
19/7/2002 00:57 | Check out NWD for a quick profit. MMs obviously short of stock, worth buying a few for a quick 20% gain. | market_leader 2002
17/7/2002 23:29 | RIP! Nice to see the old web-site is still functioning though!!!! (Conned) Pete | itsourpete |
