Just a leg-pull re MONI, PJ ;o) couldn't resist it - but breaking into and gaining traction with their Mobile Wallet tech (Interactive Services Division) is terrific news.

Abundantly clear that they've been working closely with a number of local retailers to prove and refine the technology over many months. I just wonder if they might consider spinning this side of business out(?) Looks to be a genuine game-changer. Can't help but be impressed by the breadth of their product/service portfolio.

Mobile wallet contract win with food retailer, Just Falafel

Escher Group Holdings plc (AIM: ESCH, "Escher" or the "Group"), a world-leading provider of outsourced, point-of-service software to the postal industry, announces that it has signed a contract with international food retail chain, Just Falafel, for the provision of a loyalty, coupon and pre-payment solution across its retail outlets in the UK.

Escher will deliver a tailored mobile wallet solution to Just Falafel in the UK market. It will launch this month in the Fulham store followed by a rollout in all Just Falafel stores throughout the UK.

Escher's innovative mobile wallet technology will enhance Just Falafel's ability to engage with their customers in a more relevant way, by giving them meaningful rewards for their purchases. The mobile wallet will provide a greater service experience to customers too, allowing them to make closed loop payments using a secure dynamic QR code as identity for payment. This functionality and the delivery of relevant content and offers to its customers will support Just Falafel's customer loyalty and acquisition goals.

Likewise, Ed but to be fair there were some pretty useful trading vols several days back - PG seem v keen to re-rate the stock. Some of the earlier trades today look suspiciously 'PI' (cough!) in terms of size. As we well know, this share is not followed and I find it hard to believe recent purchasers are all investing on a momentum play. ;o)

So my only conclusion, that something pretty meaningful is driving the action whether a partnership, deal-flow, licensing etc. I still wouldn't put it beyond the realms of possibility should an NEC, SAP, Oracle or Fujitsu...make a hostile offer. They'd get the entire shooting match and a shoe-into a market occupied by the world's largest retailers for little more than £5. We know they want the business, the problem they have - competing vs Escher on quality/value. Escher is something of a bid/tender 'machine'.

Good to see Escher hiring FTEs again. You need to dig around a bit, but they seem to be going into the new FY with tails in the air. Whilst it's [obviously] never the complete picture h/c on LinkedIn provides a useful trend indicator.

Good to see Mr Market finally waking up to what Escher has in 'their' mobile wallet ;o)

High time decent value was attributed to this Interactive Services Division. That'll be the area providing the growth kicker - as well as ePost solutions of course. Could be quite a year.

Considerable manipulation going on, but I believe it a strong 'conviction' buy at these prices in and around £1. I would expect to see further director support if it remains at these levels.

Defo a sizeable order being filled here, note the recent large late trades declared on the bid and yet the mark-up.
