02/3/2009 20:35 | Albcamus, the directors are sitting pretty with good salaries and share holdings as a bonus, how much Albcamus, do you get in dividends from this company, I bought my shares on recommendation from Sharewatch, since them as with many other recommended shares from sharewatch they just keep going down, so its a good job I'am not reinvesting in this company. Why do companies with a good turnover make so little profit, then go out on a spending spree. am I missing something. they do take over companies but with who's money is it at the end of the day. Perhaps my portfolio contains to many companies who are non performers, I know the credit crunch has contributed a little, but my shares go way back. Albcamus thanks for the time | tryone2
01/3/2009 13:19 | Tyrone2, I can't understand why you assert that the company is being run for the benefit of the directors. Electric Word is a small firm that has been reinvesting its profits for growth. Can you please enlighten me on what is wrong with this strategy? | albcamus
01/3/2009 10:44 | this company is definetly run for the benifit of the directors, with such a low share price, or perhaps there should be an extraordinary meeting called to see whats really going on | tryone2
17/2/2009 22:54 | i guess not...maybe tomorrow? | chase
17/2/2009 08:21 | excellent set of results...agree albcamus....well undervalued.... | pre
17/2/2009 08:06 | This stock is trading on a PE of just 4x. A ridiculously cheap multiple for a good business with strong management. | albcamus
30/6/2008 21:35 | why dont you stop throwing money down the drain and pay a dividend, surely the share price must tell the Directors something | tryone2
27/2/2008 11:49 | Why no RNS for results? Turnover up 26% to £13.5m Adjusted profit up 41% to £1.4m Adjusted EPS up 36% to .87p Sounds like good steady progress, but if nobody knows about it...... | mooreatupton
26/2/2008 10:39 | got out today e dale didnt perform quite as well as expected. won't hold as it will probably sit around these levels for a while. watch it shot up now | arsey
20/2/2008 17:33 | Obviously no interest in this one at present. I had expected to see a tick up this week before the results. Lets see what happens tomorrow when we get the results which from the previous RNS were expected to be good. | edale
14/2/2008 21:28 | absolutely edale. the drift has been on low volume equally though the little tick ups are on low volume. lets hope the results bring in the volume and we see a sustained rise. | arsey
14/2/2008 18:36 | A couple of ticks up in the share price over the last few days. Results due a week today so could see further increases over the next week. They have already declared the results will be good and very little volume attached to the fall in share price over the last few months. | edale
10/2/2008 22:07 | thought id stick the highlights from last years results up.ele have brought 4 and a half companies since then at various prices the most expensive being 2mln stg.i suppose the mystery is what do they mean in the trading statement this dec by significantly ahead of last years. Acquisitions, organic growth and margin improvements double profits *Adjusted profit* before tax improves to #920k (#451k) *Operating margin pre-goodwill up from 7% to 9% *Adjusted earnings per share* up 77% to 0.66p (0.37p). Basic up 103% *33% of profit growth organic, 67% from acquisitions *Turnover increases 72% to #10.7m (#6.2m) *45% of Group revenue from renewable subscriptions *134% growth in online and e-marketing revenues *Strong balance sheet supported by cashflow *Five acquisitions since December 2005, integrating well *Current year started well, with trading in line with Board's expectations now the trading statement before these results stated that they had experienced significant growth and were therefore trading in line with management expectations. so do we get a second year of double profits, my gut feeling is perhaps not but it could be close. think i have persuaded myself to add more. could be one of those little forgotten jems.maybe a quick 50% profit. | arsey
07/2/2008 10:29 | reading through the articles i can't see a problem.another small drop on very light volume. if it sinks further i will buy more. come results day i think we will see a rapid adjustment in share price it will be marked up highly before us pi's have a chance. so happy to accumulate. | arsey
06/2/2008 08:01 | edale.the only problem is the markets even with a buisness that should be able to perform reasonable well in a downturn no stock can resist selling pressure i just feel that it has probably fallen enough. i will probably be proved wrong as in most cases as with many traders it is hard to call the bottom.we shall see.I have been in and out as the share price dosn't ever seem to go on a run that reflects the progress and potential. I don't think the company has put a foot wrong so far in it's development. | arsey
05/2/2008 11:02 | thats me in for 50000 at below mid price.Everything going well results out soon has dropped with market sentiment then been forgotten. | arsey
22/1/2008 17:30 | The share price has now dropped around 30% in three months with only approx 2% of the total shares traded during that period. A trading statement in Dec was positive so anyone any clues as to why such a big fall. All the major shareholders must be sitting tight so can only assume it is just the general market sentiment but even so seems a big fall on such a small trading volume. Results due on 21st Feb. | edale
02/1/2008 11:53 | Usually at this time of year we see this one pick up, as it has over the last 2 years, achieved its annual highs, apparently not so as yet. Anyone have any ideas whats happening with EE? | mazarin
23/10/2007 13:30 | Edale: As nobody else has volunteered to answer you.............. I was lured into these by SCSW - more fool me - and have spent approx the last 18 months watch them do very little except go lower than when I bought in! Magnificent timing on my part. I have nothing to add I'm afraid, except that I continue to be optimistic. Otherwise I would stop this lark altogether! It appears to be a soundly run affair and I am impressed by the fact that it has not (yet?) fallen during recent turbulence - but who knows? Mr Turner if you are reading this, please get this share price moving upwards. I thank you. | keyno
11/10/2007 18:37 | Anyone following this. The half year numbers and report looked good at the end of August and two acquisitions in the last few weeks look positive but very little interest or shares traded as a response. I have held for several years and have always thought it is one to watch for the future but the future seems a long time in coming. Anyone any thoughts ?? | edale
21/8/2007 08:16 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Electric Word PLC reported a first-half pretax profit versus a loss last year, with revenues up 46 pct, on improved efficiency and the successful integration of the acquisitions completed last year. For the first half ended May 31, the group posted a pretax profit of 164,487 stg versus a loss of 11,211 stg last year while turnover rose to 6.6 mln stg from 4.5 mln. Adjusted pre-tax profit jumped 140 pct with 87 pct profit improvement achieved in the continuing businesses, and the remainder resulting from the full benefit of last year's Incentive Plus acquisition, the group said. "Both our key sectors are performing in line with our expectations and, supported by government priorities, we believe the group has an excellent platform for further expansion in the rest of the year and beyond," said chief executive Julian Turner. The group added that current trading is in line with its expectations and delegate and advertising sales bookings for the autumn are ahead of last year. | mooreatupton |
