Surprised there were no ordinary shareholders at the AGM yesterday (other than me). Which made it a relatively short affair, but I complained about the LTIP and learned some useful info. A full report is on the ShareSoc Members Network.

Very good news given how DOTD are targeting Magento customers with such success. This means that when potential customers are searching for an email partner on the Magento site, DOTD will be at the top of the search badged as the only Platinum partner - they don't have their shiny new badge there yet though!

This is the narrative Magento give on DOTD:

Magento has selected dotmailer, the platform of dotdigital Group Plc, as their first and only marketing Platinum Technology Partner. dotmailer is a multichannel marketing automation platform with email at its core. It provides ecommerce and marketing teams with robust, innovative yet user-friendly technology to do smarter marketing. Build automation campaigns, beautiful emails and optimized landing pages with our easy-to-use drag & drop UI interface. Quickly create advanced segments using demographical, transactional, geographical and other data sources. Maximize Customer Lifetime Value with automated abandonment, re-engagement and loyalty campaigns and include product recommendations, loyalty points, reviews and more. dotmailer corporate and SME clients span 150 countries and both B2C and B2B channels. The platform integrates seamlessly with Magento Community, Magento Enterprise and is Magento 2 ready.

....and this is DOTD's dedicated Magento site.

dotdigital Awarded Magento Global Platinum Partner Status

"dotdigital, the first and only email and multi-channel platform in the world to achieve this status"

dotdigital Group Plc (AIM: DOTD), a global provider of intuitive email and multi-channel marketing automation software (under the 'dotmailer' platform) today announces that it has been awarded global Platinum Partner status by Magento Commerce, the leading provider of open omnichannel innovation. Magento Commerce today announced the launch of the Platinum Partner tier to deepen its collaboration with segment leaders in key categories of greatest interest to merchants (hxxps://magento.com/company/press-room/press-releases/magento-commerce-develops-deeper-technology-partnerships).

dotmailer is one of two initial platinum partners and is the first and only email and multi-channel marketing automation global technology at the Platinum Partner level.

dotmailer initially launched a connector for the Magento open commerce platform in September 2013. Since then, dotmailer has been selected as the email and marketing application of choice for merchants seeking to unlock the potential of their customer data to engage customers and increase sales.

"We are obviously delighted that following an extremely successful relationship between dotmailer and Magento over the last two years we have been awarded this prestigious global Platinum Partnership status which clearly recognizes the unique strengths of our dotmailer platform", said Simone Barratt, CEO of dotdigital. "We believe that this enhanced relationship will provide greater opportunities for dotmailer particularly as part of our international growth strategy."

"When we seek out partners, we look for companies that like Magento Commerce drive exceptional experiences across every stage of the commerce lifecycle and provide merchants with a distinct competitive advantage", said Mark Lavelle, CEO of Magento Commerce. "dotmailer's ease-of-use and ease-of-integration is in complete alignment with our strategy to enable retailers to extend Magento with the most advanced capabilities provided by our partners."

Shorting a share which has been in a tight upward trend for a couple of months is rather brave if not visionary. Good luck with that one!

Finncap have now come out with their forecast of 1.6p for 2016 and 2.5p for 2017. I guess we should be able to judge whether they are being a bit pessimistic for this year at the interims.

The N+1 Singer forecast is 1.7p for the current year, presumably depressed by the cost of two new offices in the States and the Australian office, and 2.4p for the following year to June 2014. Given the momentum I would have thought that their take on this year was a bit pessimistic.

I have not seen the joint broker, Finncap's new forecasts, but yesterday they were talking about sticking with their forecast of 61% growth over the next two years which would imply EPS of 2.6p. At current levels 2.5p gives a forward PER of about 14.5 for the 2017 year.

I think the broker consensus forecasts referred to in the investors champion article for this year date from February and we await revised forecasts. I see Finncap now have a 45p share price target, up from 40p.

This was Dotd's take on Q1 of the new financial year at the analysts presentation today:

Revenues in line with the plan
Larger monthly spend commitment
Signing up new international partners
Continued strong uptake of Magento connector
Growing confidence in the market
Digital marketing budgets continue to rise
International revenues set to continue to build

Widespread industry's acceptance of email's ROI
High levels of brand awareness
Very strong product
Experienced management team
Good operational leverage
High margins
High and growing levels of contracted recurring revenue

In line with plan would presumably be at least 30% top line growth again this year.

I have held these shares since 2011 and this is about the most confident statement I can ever remember them presenting. The business is very well run, and the geographic expansion and targeting Magento clients is reaping rewards. The doubling of the U.S. Sales and the two new sales offices in that area are particularly promising. What is not highlighted is the range of capability of dotmailer which, on independent tests, is right up there with the market leader, Salesforce, for functionality but has a low entry point price wise so is addressing the whole market and can grow with a client in terms of what they need.

I await the new brokers forecasts and details of the analysts presentation this morning with interest.

To my mind ramping up the dividend by 80% was also a strong and very confident statement.

Showing some strength ahead of results next week. I would expect EPS of about 1.6p. For a company with years of strong growth ahead of it I would have thought an historic PER of 30 would not be extravagant to give a target of 48p currently.
