26/4/2021 18:15 | Further to the above, holders via HL appear not to have 'lost' any shares apart from any final fraction as a result of the consolidation and split. My holding on an exact calculation (i.e.permitting a fractional consolidated share) ended up having to discard 2/7 of a new share, worth about 20p. | boadicea
07/4/2021 22:37 | THe effect seems to be different for beneficial owners of a nominee holding than for individual holders, as the nominee will only lose a maximum of one consolidated share, ie approx. £90 between all its beneficiaries, whereas an individual can lose the whole £90, albeit with cash compensation if the fractional value is above £5. Have I understood correctly? | boadicea
31/3/2021 13:47 | exactly my point | solarno lopez
31/3/2021 13:39 | Share consolidations usually spell disaster for the PI with significant loss of value. Good to see this dog turn around in H2 however the consolidation is a sickener. | catch007
30/3/2021 10:06 | We can but hope spot, we can but hope ! | solarno lopez
30/3/2021 10:03 | The change of name is the key here which I think might have been a good idea at the time Dods acquired Merit, but hopefully it will now be a genuine fresh start for the shares. What they've said in the trading statement sounds very positive. | spot1034
30/3/2021 08:20 | Share consolidation no doubt which inevitably leads to a falling share price | solarno lopez
02/2/2021 09:37 | quiet so no change here | solarno lopez
02/12/2020 08:52 | and still is | solarno lopez
30/11/2020 07:13 | This continues to be a mess and needs serious bulk or for Lord Ashcroft to turn it into a shell from whence it came | solarno lopez
19/6/2020 15:21 | An interesting point at this thoughtful time | solarno lopez
19/6/2020 15:15 | I have no wish to strike the wrong chord and I am sure we send condolences to the family of the chairman Dr David Hammond whose death was announced yesterday, but presumably this flurry of activity and quite dramatic rise in the share price has been triggered by this announcement and investors thinking the prospects for the company have improved. | spot1034
29/4/2020 13:25 | is this cheap ? | solarno lopez
15/4/2020 08:37 | And zero it is ( post 375 ) | solarno lopez
25/1/2020 21:23 | CEO was 17 months in and uk politics went into melt down. Least he brought merit which will drive the profit otherwise Dods would deliver zero | ronkef1
23/1/2020 07:49 | The right person is Lord Ashcroft who needs to turn this into a proper shell and get rid of the baggage or add some serious bulk | solarno lopez
22/1/2020 18:01 | Merit looked like a good acquisition and this must be a big disappointment to the Merit people who've stayed on. Let's hope they can find the right person to knock the company into shape. It's long overdue. | spot1034
22/1/2020 11:42 | The price seems just to have been marked down, not dropped as a response to selling, and now buyers are coming in. | spot1034
22/1/2020 10:19 | So much for the acquisition benefits! What a crock Dods is turning out to be when its best excuse is Brexit. | catch007
22/1/2020 09:42 | It gets worse | solarno lopez
24/12/2019 11:09 | What a bag of rags this has turned out to be | solarno lopez
