Further to the above, holders via HL appear not to have 'lost' any shares apart from any final fraction as a result of the consolidation and split. My holding on an exact calculation (i.e.permitting a fractional consolidated share) ended up having to discard 2/7 of a new share, worth about 20p.

THe effect seems to be different for beneficial owners of a nominee holding than for individual holders, as the nominee will only lose a maximum of one consolidated share, ie approx. £90 between all its beneficiaries, whereas an individual can lose the whole £90, albeit with cash compensation if the fractional value is above £5.
Have I understood correctly?

Share consolidations usually spell disaster for the PI with significant loss of value. Good to see this dog turn around in H2 however the consolidation is a sickener.

The change of name is the key here which I think might have been a good idea at the time Dods acquired Merit, but hopefully it will now be a genuine fresh start for the shares. What they've said in the trading statement sounds very positive.

Share consolidation no doubt which inevitably leads to a falling share price

I have no wish to strike the wrong chord and I am sure we send condolences to the family of the chairman Dr David Hammond whose death was announced yesterday, but presumably this flurry of activity and quite dramatic rise in the share price has been triggered by this announcement and investors thinking the prospects for the company have improved.

CEO was 17 months in and uk politics went into melt down. Least he brought merit which will drive the profit otherwise Dods would deliver zero

The price seems just to have been marked down, not dropped as a response to selling, and now buyers are coming in.

So much for the acquisition benefits! What a crock Dods is turning out to be when its best excuse is Brexit.

He has alot of work to do

In accordance with the terms of his contract upon joining the board, Dods announces that it has granted a conditional award ("Award") to Simon Presswell, Chief Executive Officer, under a new long-term incentive plan (the "Dods Group PLC 2018 LTIP" or the "Plan").

The Award is subject to the achievement of performance conditions related to share price. The Award entitles Simon to a percentage of the incremental increase in Dods' future market capitalisation above a base value of approximately GBP55.0001 million*, which equates to a share price of 16.1087p, measured after three years following grant. The Company's current equivalent market capitalisation is approximately GBP36.7 million.

Additional value will be realised if the Company achieves a share price of 50.6p after the fourth year following grant, representing a market capitalisation of approximately GBP173.0 million*. The value of the Award may be adjusted downward, based on a free cash flow formula.
