tagbot - I see you are a newish face on advfn and on this thread. 9 posts since dec15. I'm sure you want a sensible debate, so best not to appear (I'm sure it's unintentional) to upset the long termers. Personally I don't care if the booze is faddish or not as long as it appeals to a large enough audience who have the money to buy it. But I certainly agree with you in one respect. I have had and still have some serious doubts about discounted sales. I have expressed concern on here a number of times about dealing with supermarkets at low selling prices and tight margins but I guess it's partly to do with building a big enough user base in the beginning. Our boss is ex Diageo and definitely knows what he is doing so lets sit with it and give the guy some credit. With finals this week we will soon enough see if our confidence is justified or not. Best of luck, pete

The important element is the tail that the offer creates. (increase in repurchases once the offer comes off) It does look in Tesco that the sales volume is moving in an upward pattern as this position is the highest it has ever been. Sainsbury I don't think their website has the same accuracy or frequency of updates as it has remained static there.

All of the bottles of Redleg at my local (large) Tesco store disappeared inside 2 days in the offer.

Can't wait for the results which will hopefully include an update on the current trading position which should be pretty rosy if this was repeated across the country...

DRH - interesting comments.

I think you may just be under selling the product and focused on your own opinion and not taking into account others.

The US has huge potential at Halloween and the trail off after this holiday period. Within specific groups such as heavy metal, bikers, goths etc there is nothing that would have the same impact of Blavod. Under the right marketing and distribution there is great potential.

There are no other Black vodkas which are not flavoured. That is quite unique.

Five times distilled, our Vodka is lightly infused with botanicals from Shetland, giving it a smooth & rounded taste

Indeed. 3 trades of over a million today and a late reported trade of 2 million from yesterday. Someone is collecting a tidy number of DIS.
