12/6/2009 14:38 | Thanks Vizz, I noticed you sold your shares, perhaps a little early, so it shouldnt worry you either way ;) | spursspurs
12/6/2009 14:11 | If it was miniscule pb, I think the current share price 'difference' would disappear. | vizz
12/6/2009 14:07 | It'll go ahead vizz - you're alerting investors to a miniscule possibility of a No vote. | pbracken
12/6/2009 14:01 | Before everyone gets too carried away with counting chickens, bear in mind the little matter of a 75% shareholder merger approval required on 24 June. Although the consensus mood is it will pass muster, life is full of surprises and if the vote falls short, CBM's share price will disappear down a deep hole while its assets are up for bid. | vizz
12/6/2009 13:47 | The 50 SMA and 200 SMA are heading towards a golden cross towards the end of June too :) | loafingchard
12/6/2009 13:32 | The rise in the share price today is great, but with WTN now at 111p, CBM are still a cheap way into WTN. The takeover terms are 0.75 of a WTN share for every 1 CBM share, and 0.75 x 111p = 83.25p ... about 6p above the current CBM share price of say 77p. The takeover is scheduled to go through "early July". | lizzie ii
12/6/2009 10:53 | thanks for confirmation Loafingchard. Yes, chart looks good and mirrors the chart for WTN in Canada presumably . I hope to buy if a slight dip in afternoon ! | arja
12/6/2009 10:17 | Merger is agreed now Arja . Chart now has a huge gap up to around 150p to fill . Volume is picking up good luck all | loafingchard
12/6/2009 08:56 | just found info through google - .75. So share price will just follow canadian company slavishly it seems unless merger does not go through. | arja
12/6/2009 08:39 | sorry but can someone enlighten me . CBM has a lovely looking chart but what is link with WTN ( merger soon ? ). Thanks as I am tempted to buy a few ! | arja
12/6/2009 07:52 | Morning Vizz. P1 | phil0001
12/6/2009 07:50 | Phil - I'm not quite in the position as yet where it will be necessary to pass the collection plate around on my behalf! I took a trading profit in CBM and chose not to take further part in the scrum while conditions are throwing up such mixed signals. I'm a trader/investor trying to play where the odds favour me, not just keep throwing the dice like a hard core gambler because lady luck is temporarily lending support. I always try to maintain a good sense of humour, whatever the market conditions, it's probably necessary to do so in this crazy world in order to remain sane. By the way, the 19-page presentation link you listed is an abridged version of the 31-page May presentation as WTN's current promotion for the merger supposedly reckons the previous extra pages is too much for the average punter to swallow in one sitting! ;) | vizz
12/6/2009 01:48 | bush, he's got a sense of humour really....deep down! :0) Anyway bush, I haven't forgotten your 'toppy' remark from the beginning of the last bull run on WTN. It takes a long time to live that one down! :0) Few people seemed to see the potential in the stock back then, but after that run up perhaps more people will be watching the current situation. Here's hoping that anyone still out of pocket makes their money back and more. P1 | phil0001
11/6/2009 22:39 | phil, I hope we dont get Vizz reminding you of that post in the coming weeks/months | bushtuckaman
11/6/2009 21:41 | i am enjoying the rise as much as anyone, tho still historically at a loss...90m net acquisition costs brings 358m of assets,,,rape!!?? | waggle
11/6/2009 18:29 | Really good investor presentation, new today. It's a PDF download. Poor Vizz!!!! Sells up and goes outside to get sunburnt! Must have been the only bear left in town! Don't worry mate, I'm sure there'll be plenty more opportunities to make money on this! :0) P1 | phil0001
11/6/2009 18:13 | Indeed , it went boom.... decent volume building , lets hope we can hold above C$2 . The resultant merged company will be a solid outfit imho with big potential when demand returns . Can we merge / swallow up TSX:GCE next ? . That would make a major player in Canadian coking coal . | loafingchard
11/6/2009 18:11 | wtn and gce both going ballistic.should be a good day 2morrow. | remp31
11/6/2009 17:54 | Take a look at Toronto. | colino bambino
11/6/2009 16:36 | It's been a wonderful increase in the share price since the deal was first announced. The mm's could have got my shares at around 53p on the day of the announcement but I'm pleased they were mean at the time, pitching the CBM price at around 50p. They've lost out since then. It doesn't half give one a glow. | speed camera
11/6/2009 15:15 | I've closed my CBM positions as I don't like straight lines in either direction and my instinct is that we're approaching a blow-off top. I could be wrong, but I'm not particularly keen at being glued to a monitor all day and every day to find out when the Bull mood suddenly breaks down. Those who choose to run with it are welcome to the profit and risk, for me I'm out to test the theory that Britain is in the midst of a summer! | vizz
11/6/2009 12:06 | Bouncing nicely off the 200 SMA , hopefully provide support now . I think we are near the medium term bottom for steel demand . Destocking maybe fizzling out and infrastructure spending could start to put a floor under demand . Oil rising will mean more investment in that sector which also uses lots of steel . Still see western automotive demand a drag though . So the picture is clear as mud imho WTN i feel could meander towards 120p fairly soon , especially should the coal and mining sectors maintain their recent strength . Anyone else have a view ? good luck all | loafingchard
