06/2/2006 16:21 | aye, someone who read that RNS today, might have got the years wrong .. today ... | ecomkid
06/2/2006 16:04 | thecynical That's because last Feb they released this RNS, which subsequently came to nothing, but did, as you say, cause a flurry of interest: Capricorn Resources PLC 07 February 2005 Capricorn Resources plc ('the Company') Statement regarding a possible acquisition. The Company notes the recent increase in its share price. The Company is in discussions that may or may not lead to an acquisition that would constitute a substantial and a related party transaction, but not a reverse transaction under the AIM Rules. A further announcement will be made in due course. This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange | miamigo
06/2/2006 15:58 | miamigo...perhaps a certain individual - who shall remain nameless but has the initials BM.....who purchased 8000000 shares at 0.25p........... | thecynical1
06/2/2006 15:47 | guys...they had a similar burst of excitement around this time last year...almost to the day......is that a funny coincidence or what ??? LOL ! | thecynical1
06/2/2006 15:47 | What I find a bit smelly here is that there are some pretty big sells going through, unyet this stock has been more or less dormant for that past year or so. So who's getting rid of their shares? | miamigo
06/2/2006 15:46 | what going here,, is it a bear trap, well a trap b4 they go under ? ... whats your views as I'm sure thats not the case? | powwow
06/2/2006 10:50 | Looks like they are! | double6
06/2/2006 10:48 | Far better MM's just pull the plug on the price and if the SBR are involved they'll lose out! | double6
06/2/2006 10:45 | My opinion (as an individual, not wishing for anyone to take this as advice or as fact)... Net assets of around £150,000 at this moment, assuming 6-month loss to Dec 05 was stable. Tidy balance sheet without excessive debt makes it a rev-takeover candidate - AT THE RIGHT PRICE. Value of stock-exchange listing - c. £250,000? Company value £400,000 = 0.6p per share approx. So why buy at 3p? Perhaps the Spanish boiler rooms will continue buying up to 5p or more, to offer a "better discount" when selling shares while suspended. If you can get in and out before suspension then good luck! | bozzy_s
06/2/2006 10:40 | I'd like to make it clear I have no financial position in this share. Just posting from past experience, and suggest that people do their research before buying / selling. Look through the news announcements, look at what assets the company has, decide what you think is a fair valuation based on that. | bozzy_s
06/2/2006 10:37 | Gone from 1p to just over 3p - chart looks impressive - i think i'll just watch from the sidelines -good luck to those who hold. | pre
06/2/2006 10:36 | Looks like the Spanish Boiler Room trick is happening here. Shares will be suspended due to "reverse take-over discussions" at an artificially high price. Someone in Spain will ring round offering shares at a lower price, while suspended. They come back onto the market after "ending discussions" and the price crashes back. The con-merchants in Spain who forced the price up initially make a packet, everyone who buys from them feels like a plum. Recent example, one of many - HCR | bozzy_s
06/2/2006 10:23 | >>Double6 Not sure if they are trying to "suck in". If that was the case you would not see MM trades or the 100k protected trade just gone through at 3.5p. Are you guessing or you know something here? | parvez
06/2/2006 10:01 | Who did they suck in then ? Far better look at SSC (OFEX) | double6
06/2/2006 09:58 | I think the warrants can be subscribed at 1p until 31 March 2008 so are better value at the moment compared against the ordinaries ! | parvez
06/2/2006 09:51 | Whats the news ? | r33skyline
06/2/2006 09:50 | Have they actually pulled off a deal?? | miamigo
06/2/2006 09:48 | accelerated from upturn on Friday tough to buy shares this morning, only got 110,000 gave up trying to catch the warrants up 170% so far today :) (I think two of those two 50,000 MM trades were a result of my buy) | mikehardman
06/2/2006 09:47 | MM will forcs RNS ?? | double6
06/2/2006 09:41 | Nothing in Red Hot from what I can see. Lots of MM trades..something's up here? | parvez
06/2/2006 09:33 | Presumably tipped in one of the Penny Share rags ?? | double6
06/2/2006 09:24 | Any one any ideas as this one has woken up all of sudden! | parvez
03/1/2006 12:57 | I haven't been done over like this since the Tech implosion. Serves me right for holding when Phil Edmonds sold. | sharecropper
20/12/2005 07:38 | Just incase anyone is still interested: Capricorn Resources PLC 19 December 2005 Capricorn Resources Plc Results of AGM The 2005 Annual General Meeting of Capricorn Resources plc was held on 16 December 2005. Mr Motau retired by rotation in accordance with the Company's articles of association and did not stand for re-election. The Board thanks him for his contribution. The Board of Directors accordingly now consists of Mr Brian Moritz and Mr John Stuttaford. A resolution was passed to the effect that, despite not having made an acquisition or investment in the 24 months following admission to AIM, the Company should continue to explore acquisition or investment opportunities and should not be wound-up. In view of the proxy count against, the resolution disapplying pre-emption rights on the issue of shares for cash was not put to the meeting. 28/9/2005 20:38 | its still a pile of very overvalued poo until rumours circulate re: company reversing into it. true value = 0.25p - 0.5p currently. | pork belly |
