Mark Gustafson, Challenger Acquisitions' chief executive, has doubled his stake in the company as developments of the New York wheel and one in Jakarta build momentum.
But this remains early days for the giant wheel specialist, with a further 25 locations already earmarked as potential sites.
The aim is one new wheel to be commissioned each year, with somewhere in the Americas likely to be the next site to be announced.
