01/11/2017 11:28 | Seeing there lowest tariff at the moment does make you wonder what is happening right now and what the other big 6 are going to do. The only one to appear above BG are E-ON but there customer service is woeful. Would definitely consider if I wasn't already on a very good tariff and the cost savings are not enough for the move at this moment. Lets just hope similar deals are good nearer my end time. But thankfully with no exit fee's being a must nowadays, this is another reason companies need better competition. There are a few iffy small companies out there with prices so low you have to wonder how they can be so low? | capeview
01/11/2017 11:24 | back onboard CNA 40% of my portfolio was in RDSB so sold a few. my last sell here was 199p ,so fortunate....... WJ. | w1ndjammer
01/11/2017 11:22 | I think I've gave in guessing where company's are going HHH1. A lot of my favorites are doing badly, Bt , Gsk, Barc, Mks, the only one seem to be holding out Lloy | jpjohn1
01/11/2017 11:19 | I'm just gonna sit back and relax. Am happy I'm invested in a profitable business, that's the long and the short of it for me. | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 11:16 | The way it's going little HHH1 unfortunately :( | jpjohn1
01/11/2017 10:57 | What are the odds that the share price closes at the same level at which it opened today? | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 10:50 | Did I hear wrong or did Margot James just say that the cap will be set at such a level that it won't be disincentive to competition. So I read that cap has to be high enough to leave a distinct distance between the cap and the deals ??? | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 10:40 | Standard variable customers subsidise the at cost (or below) deals which are offered on the comparison sites. If you remove the SVT premium then the cheap deals will have to be hit as well. | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 10:29 | Politicians using Gas/Elec for their own popularity stakes. At least with the Conservatives, we will still likely have reliable supply, whatever the cost and outcome of this strange price cap,but with Comrade Corbyn's nationalization policy the whole country will most likely be on frequent black outs, rather than cheaper gas/elec. | nick rubens
01/11/2017 10:21 | None of the big 6 chairman's are voicing any real criticism of the government as it portrays the big bad businesses crushing the poor little public. I think the share price is down because for this reason plus the change of focus which Conn has presided over. Its up for debate whether its the right move or not but I firmly believe that in the 21st century its 'Innovate Or Die' | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 10:11 | hhh...its not, but why if they are so profitable in OgGem's eyes is the share price sinking. Its because Conn and the BOD are just taking the criticism and not defending their corner. His reign at CNA has been absolutely disastrous. He cut the div at his first opportunity, diluted everyone's shareholdings (unheard of for a FTSE 100 Co) and presided over a share price fall from around 240 to current levels. His and the BOD's silence is deafening. Anyone else with this performance would have been fired....and I believe this will be the next breaking news unless he gets up off his knees and fights for his shareholders. His primary responsibility is to maximise shareholder value...lest he forget | 4seeaproblem
01/11/2017 10:08 | Clark is a bumbling plank. | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 10:06 | If we take 200 as the base point and it was going 200 to 235 ish that is 35p. It is now basically 35p below the 200. When 200 failed it has dropped by the same as the double tops | supermarky
01/11/2017 09:59 | high frequency algo trading. they make some cash on the momentum, in/out thousand of times per day. ..but we should make real money from the stupid prices they create. | careful
01/11/2017 09:51 | 5.35 PE yield 7.14%. If CNA have been recently been accused of profiteering, then what will the forward PE be? You have to laugh at these markets. Amazon with a PE of over 300, CNA about 5. | careful
01/11/2017 09:45 | another 10,000 @166.90 ;-) | strutt12
01/11/2017 09:45 | So why is making 7.2% profit for a business seen as some kind of criminal act ??? | hamhamham1
01/11/2017 09:45 | Just looked at it, unfortunately it just looks like it just keeps going down. We might have confidence in this company but a lot of other investors don't. Unfortunately I'm in it big time and would lose a lot of money if I sold so have no choice and wait till it goes back up. Some people say you should not have more than 2% of any company in your portfolio. What do you think ? The reality of this company I would love to be positive but we have not been as low as this since the middle of 2003 !!! And if you look at the FT100 we have the worse company loss 47% + out of the total 100 !!!!! Sorry to be down on it | jpjohn1
01/11/2017 09:43 | Just averaged down, whatever the short term sentiment at these prices the forward pe is looking comically low | rathean
01/11/2017 09:41 | Perhaps Conn has not come out fighting because of this : | 4seeaproblem
01/11/2017 09:35 | Where is this going !! | jpjohn1
01/11/2017 09:27 | All I ask of the committee is that they don't issue more woolly heavy handed threats. This is a rediculous way to operate. | hamhamham1 |
