All I ask of the committee is that they don't issue more woolly heavy handed threats. This is a rediculous way to operate.

agressive regulation is crushing this and BT.
CNA expected to pay green subsidies and invest billions in infrastructure,
and then bear the cost themselves.

similarly BT have to invest billions in Fibre optic broadband and like a charity hand it over to competitors.

Theresa May is beginning to look out of her depth.
No knowledge of business, no knowledge of ordinary people.
Corbyn is a street fighter who was not part of the Oxford Union debating Society.
How genteel, but this tory gang are beginning to worry me.

I would have thought price cap well and truly priced in by now.But no market wants to trash it even more.

Market seems edgy in the run up to 10am. Let's hope that this committee give some direction on where the cap is going.

I'm with Octopus Energy. Not had any issues with them and there pricing for me is fixed until April 2018. I had one issue just the other day where my gas reading was listed as estimate and not customer. Emailed them, changed the bill and adjusted within a few hours.

Had no issues with the switch over or setup and I'm free to leave whenever I want with no fees attached.

So far they have been really good but time will tell in the next few years, but we need competition to give the big guys a kick up the back side.

There is also a price to be paid for switching from any of the big providers, when you read the reviews of the small providers they are generally poor....switching issues, poor customer service and hiking tariffs at first opportunity, basically many horror stories.I review my own tariff every year, but currently ignore the small players for those reasons, maybe things will improve.

I just did a uswitch search for dual fuel with direct debit and british gas came 2nd cheapest. Not bad, At least it shows the public that british gas are willing to fight for your business.
