25/10/2017 19:53 | Hi Dr Biotech, Centrica seems to be under pressure on all sides right now and the 23rd November trading update seems a very long way off. Sad to hear the PM claim consumers are being ripped off by the energy companies, when it is very much the actions of Government that have pushed utility bills higher. The political landscape has changed quite dramatically since the ill timed General Election a few months back, but I am sure over the next 18 months CNA will recover lost ground. I only hold these in my ISA and have taken the decision not to add further shares in CNA as it has become too much of a political football kicked around by left, right and centre. Even a brilliant trading statement could be a negative as it would be used by politicians to justify their overcharging remarks. All CNA can do is ride out the storm and continue its debt reduction. A maintained dividend next year might prove politically expedient in the circumstances. Goldpig | goldpiguk
25/10/2017 19:48 | All utilities got butchered today not just Centrica. All down to an imminent 1/4% rise in interest rates and the market obviously believes energy and water companies will collapse because of this 'rise'. Ridiculous over-reaction. Now yielding above 7% and a P/E of 10. | justiceforthemany

25/10/2017 18:45 | Down 7.5p in the last two days. 4.275% since Monday's close. Not good, I find the best thing when your losing so much is not to look at the markets for a few weeks, it takes the pressure of you a bit. Each to there own way, so I won't be posting for a bit. Good luck with other shares you own :( | jpjohn1
25/10/2017 17:58 | Centrica is politicians favourite punch bag. Corbyn ( I'm alright Jack two million pound final salary pension pot) has decreed it is a Wealth Extractor. Guess May had no choice but to put the boot into Centrica then. | stewart64
25/10/2017 17:36 | Anyone concerned that this is at this level when the FTSE is hitting all time highs. If there is a correction where is this going to go then? | hem007
25/10/2017 17:14 | It was only Mr Conn spending his pocket change last week keeping the share price above 170 last week. Steady drift down to 140 I think. | waynex
25/10/2017 17:09 | What another horrible hit again chaps. This one you think won't go down any lower then you get a bad day FT -79 and it takes another bad hit. Record lows, looks a good buy but what do I know I thought that at £1.84 !!!!! Just going to have to be patient chaps and see where it is at Christmas. It is the second cheapest share in the ft 100. There are a lot of people owning these shares wondering when it as reached the bottom and some of you must be feeling pretty desperate if you own a lot. Let's hope for a good couple of days !!! | jpjohn1
25/10/2017 16:55 | wllmherkI can top that. I'm off to Wembley tonight with my daughter to watch a game that doesn't amount to any importance :(P.s GP kids go to my kids school. I'll have a word on your behalf :) | nortic 007
25/10/2017 16:52 | Fall today not specific to CNA but painful all the same.Think will turn off pc and not look in again until we're all freezing cold in Jan!Dont want to miss an oppurtunity though as sure will turn at some point, but where that will be is anyones guess. | susiebe

25/10/2017 16:02 | 13k down and that includes the div but my monthly bill is cheaper because of the nice weather. If I didn't laugh I'd cry!!!! | nortic 007
25/10/2017 15:55 | Oh this is not good, trap door to 150-something and a very good buy - in... too nervous until it finally gives up the ghost. | rathean
25/10/2017 15:54 | Too late mitchy, lol | strutt12
25/10/2017 15:44 | I would urge people not to buy until you hear some good news. There might be small bounces from here but not worth trading really.Until there's some concrete good news just be patient and wait. Keep it on your watch list and wait for some significant good news. It isn't going anywhereUntil then.Good Luck. | mitchy

25/10/2017 15:19 | So my theory that these might be seen as defensive in a falling market doesn't seem to be the case, they spiked down the moment the FTSE did at 9.30 and have hit yet another new low. I am still resisting the temptation to buy more. On one side I think ok, great place to leave your money with nearly 7% return, but how safe is the div? Until that is clearer I now expect further downside. | andyj
25/10/2017 14:32 | On the range at the moment.....lovely! | nortic 007
25/10/2017 14:28 | Unusually warm outside again but was reading on the weather that a big freeze may be on the way in the next week or so, so will be interesting to see if that impacts the share price at all, if it even happens. Still no need for heating in our house. Windows open, lovely fresh air. | capeview
25/10/2017 14:00 | If Centrica did air conditioning units we'd be alright!!! | nortic 007 |
