01/12/2015 17:50 | Comedy - I am now sadder and wiser where AIM oilers are concerned. I made a decent amount out of oil over the years, with BUR, VPC, SEY and RXP amongst others, but most of it was given back with MXP and anything left has been given back here with CAZA. The market giveth and the market taketh away! This is my last speculative play. I have no other punts, oil or otherwise. Most of my dosh is invested in nice safe main market dividend payers as I seek to prop up my pension. Fortunately I have made far more out of property stocks in the last couple of years than I have lost here, so I can still afford a brown ale or two. | lord gnome
01/12/2015 16:38 | indeed - 40% drop from almost zero just won't be that sore, sadly... | soggy
01/12/2015 15:44 | I posted this on hawk thread today: "Been following the airwaves on OPEC meeting this Friday closely. Hate to say it, but it looks like the Saudi's are going to continue with high output quota's - even risking the potential breakup of OPEC as some smaller members are seriously distressed. I now cannot see oil break above $55/bbl for another 6months atleast. In fact it could potentially head towards $30/bbl. Those smallcap oilers that have not got their finances in equilibrium may go bust. That does not mean hawk - but others with no cover could get slaughtered" I divested my last chunk of this back in Feb. Cash | cashandcard
01/12/2015 15:31 | Wait and see. Not before new year imo. Caza has very capable management. They are not self serving thieves you see elsewhere. poo stuffed them. But they have the goods. Time and an OPEC decision after Friday can change everything. | valentine

01/12/2015 11:57 | You convinced me too....After I get my money back ;) | balbains324
01/12/2015 10:53 | Yes it looks like Caza shareholders are living the ancient Chinese curse " may you live in interesting times" Not sure the oil price is the big issues here as any investor must realise that without a low oil price they wouldn't be getting the deal they are getting (if a deal is done). With a cash injection and given its assets ,infrastructure and low cost base the "new" Caza could ride out any downturn. The main question is if there is anything left for existing shareholders in the "new" Caza ? Obviously there is some doubt and the market cap is now under $1m but that also means that any deal that is not a wipeout for current investors would result in a very sharp increase in the share price. Again ......you pays your money..... | pavey ark
01/12/2015 10:46 | lol think just convinced myself to leave aim stocks | comedy
01/12/2015 10:45 | problem is soggy aim is full of shyster directors/nomads/mm' very difficult to make money going long..as keep getting conned by rns that never appear and then are usually kick in nuts. | comedy
01/12/2015 10:08 | Under 0.25p! Either the bargain of a lifetime or my broker was right about lights out. Still very tempting and they must be gambling on OPEC reducing production soon. All about poo now. No increase and it is goodnight Vienna. | valentine
01/12/2015 09:50 | soggy i remmeer panr maybe 6 years back...i was on phone to tdw selling i think 20k or 25k in shares during morning school run...he asked me i wanted to take the price and i would have to hurry...the minute i sold ...got to work and saw i had sold at lows first thing in morning and swung £4k up in minutes after they took my stock..those were the days of being done over bu the mm's...lol that still hasnt stopped especially in aim. | comedy
01/12/2015 09:46 | I bought in near the top here and didn;t manage to get out on the way down. Today, every £1000 I put in is worth £16. Ouch! PANR has done well for me so far and I expect it will do even better very shortly, but it hurts to think how much of my gains there will simply be offsetting the losses in such disappointments as CAZA, LGO & PPC. | soggy
01/12/2015 09:32 | LG, as I suggested there is the possibility that Caza could make things less than smooth and easy for Apollo and the Caza management do own 11% of the company. As I understand it the management holding is in the form of shares that can be converted to CAZA ordinary shares so I can't see how they could/would do a deal without that deal being in the interests of all shareholders. Again, I don't have a clue and anything is possible but just as it is possible things could work out in quite a reasonable manner for the shareholder it is possible that it will not. If you buy into the system "you pays your money and you takes your chance". Hopefully people who lose do so in the full knowledge that it was their choice. | pavey ark
01/12/2015 09:24 | what stocks u in now lord gnome??? my theory is oil will bounce back...next year or 3 years...dont believe the 10 year bs from the big boys... got ppc/tpl/new/caza...a | comedy
01/12/2015 09:20 | lord gnome i was up i think up £200k 4 years back..then as vmp fell kept shoving it all in vmp..until at end had 70 odd mill in vmp ...took 4 years for it to come back from 2nd suspension to spike to 0.7p and managed to get out...lol mxp had manage to top slice 600k in free shares in it hoping for that deal this year...to see it fall over...was it not toting as a £10 a share many moons back??? | comedy
01/12/2015 09:11 | I would just like to add that my previous post was only put forward as a POSSIBLE reason for the delay. I have no experience of this sort of deal but it is a reasonable assumption that after the horse trading is done the inverstor(S) would want an independent assessment of the assets and I imagine that is where the period of exclusivity comes in as you would not want to spend this money only to be told the company had taken another deal. If the assets are being assessed/valued then given the circumstances and the culture of litigation in the US I would imagine that the survey would be very detailed. There is the possibility that the delay is because Caza can't get a deal but if that were the case then Apollo would be making more noise. I have a hunch (only a hunch) that they have a deal but if not and at this market cap Caza could play hardball with Apollo as they have nothing to lose. Chapter 11,"see you in court" etc. This post is pure speculation as I really don't have a clue what is going on,I'm really just thinking aloud, so to speak. | pavey ark
01/12/2015 08:55 | LOL you pair have just brightened up my day....I think I'm gonna go white first and yes my losses are in the £20ks here!!! | balbains324

01/12/2015 08:52 | White hair, comedy? Amateur. I lost all my hair long ago with MXP. That was the oiler that was going to fund a lavish retirement style somewhere warm and sunny. Instead, I am crying into my half of dark down the Rose and Crown. Sigh.... I never really wanted to be rich, honest, guv. | lord gnome
01/12/2015 08:48 | lol lord gnome...i made £45 quid on tullow tarde from yesterday...and nice to see my 0.39p buys of shy 1mill...are down almost £2k...nah lord gnome...ive swung in blocks of £20k in aim stocks...hence the white hair...hoping ppc does the business over coming 6 months to make a load back:) | comedy |
