11/5/2017 16:12 | just topped up. could not resist 298p. | careful
11/5/2017 16:11 | Careful - because a liability has to be estimated it does not mean that you ignore it....unless you want to go bust. Chose BP over BT a while back. BT not yet attractive IMO; getting close though. | alphorn
11/5/2017 15:59 | The 300 support level is now becoming the new resistance level. | eaaxs06
11/5/2017 15:55 | NY Best best is GSK thats going over 2000p in my view. Rumours will swirl around about a bid for BT. Bloomberg did ask the question so if thats the way professionals are thinking, you never know, that would stuff the bears lol. | montyhedge
11/5/2017 15:53 | BT is still in a falling trend channel, support was 300p, bottom of the trend channel is around 275/280p. The 300p support needs to hold at the close or going lower by the looks of it. | ny boy
11/5/2017 15:52 | NY Boy Yes, but retail is not good, I think Debs will be fined for the data hacking breach. | montyhedge
11/5/2017 15:52 | Confusing article. Blames ofcom for regulation yet wants BT to invest more? Blames BT again for not getting on with investment, instead waiting to find out if competitors want to chip in? Nobody's brought it up recently, concentrating more on the Italian job, but let's not forget it's ofcom that's caused the majority of the mess BT AND the country now finds itself in. Ps, where's the paper trail for the lost £500m? And why isn't there being more done to get it back? | pacemaker1000
11/5/2017 15:49 | Monty you can get 6.5% on DEB and share price at lows bought a load @ 50p | ny boy
11/5/2017 15:49 | When Paterson was asked is BT a takeover target, he said you can never say never. Come on Deutche Telecom, or T Mobile, Apple. | montyhedge
11/5/2017 15:46 | Looks like they want that gap filled | andy84uk
11/5/2017 15:45 | Bears have won this one boys, at least bulls getting paid 5.1% waiting for recovery. | montyhedge
11/5/2017 15:41 | That's the 300 level broken, will it stop at 297.8? | eaaxs06
11/5/2017 15:39 | I remember the nice Jewish lady who used to do ads for BT. That was a while ago | volsung
11/5/2017 15:37 | Looks like the bears are winning at present. | eaaxs06
11/5/2017 15:28 | 31m traded so far wow, bears throwing everything at this to get below 300p, bulls just hanging on, lol | montyhedge
11/5/2017 14:59 | Since the auditors Price Waterhouse apparently didn't do their job properly and we're conned/complicit - can they please give us our money back and take the pain themselves!! | neptune_tad
11/5/2017 14:52 | It would be best not to catch the falling knife, wait for it tomorrow, imo! | abdullla
11/5/2017 14:19 | Will there be aa bounce later, the fund managers normally buy last hour before close. | montyhedge
11/5/2017 14:00 | Montyhedge said: So if not for Italy £532m and fine £42m, then pre tax £2.927 billion. Its over done boys. From BTPLC.com: As announced at Q3, adjustments relating to the investigation of our Italian business amount to £268m for prior year errors, for which we’ve revised prior periods, and a specific item charge of £245m in the current year for changes in accounting estimates. An additional £15m of investigation costs incurred in Q4 | toon1966
11/5/2017 13:59 | Careful....Equities and house prices don't always go in the same direction. Money is hard to destroy and often one performs at the expense of the other as money chases the perceived best bet. The Equity rally of the last year has accompanied lack lustre hpi. The Bull Market of the 90s was accompanied by post war low house prices by 1996 in real terms. Often you get a rotation out of one into the other. | stewart64
11/5/2017 13:50 | Been a bad day for primarily domestic stocks. So BT's fall today not to be unexpected. Agree with others that the progress of the pension liability is a huge plus from these figures. My guess is the stellar performance of global Equities has helped turn the tide here. | stewart64
11/5/2017 13:37 | FTSE100 keeps grinding higher because of the cheap £. house prices still way too high. Interest rates are set to help people with debts and assets. A 2% rise here and in the USA would bring the whole lot crashing. low interest rates are causing high inflation. but only in assets. A rich mans racket. | careful
11/5/2017 13:33 | Why not try euthanasia on the blighters that will solve the problem of pensions. | poleaxe |
