Thanks. I bought in last year but sold last month.
I feel it needs a div to spark serious buying

Petewy - debt might be up but so too is pretax profit - ratio 3:1 which is fine by me. When I first bought two years ago the ratio was 6:1 but I liked the the CEO's upbeat statement.

They must have been placed with institutions. If so it indicates an appetite for the stock.

Further to my comment on 155 about Holcim/Lafarge potential merger it appears the Irish may have hijacked the situation as CRH look like front runners. Not sure how they can afford it.

Perhaps the long expected Competition & Markets enquiry into the merger between Holcim and Lafarge/Tarmac is coming to a conclusion? Might allow a few titbits to drop off the table?

Good to see Neil Woodford (Woodford Investment Management) add another 50m shares today to take his holdings up to 138m. Invesco also topping up. Long term view looks good especially as we will get more road building in the Autumn Statement tomorrow. Going to buy some more and lock away for a year or two. dyor

The shares were obviously placed, and at a price not too far from current trading levels. It indicates that, currently, there is a healthy market for largish slugs of shares when they appear. If the company is to grow quickly, then it will need to issue paper on a regular basis. My decision is whether to continue to accumulate, or whether I accept that my investment is diluted.
