Half year numbers are very encouraging, should easily beat market expections of PBT of £16.5m for the full year, time for a further top up and lock away for the future

Of course they did - they're not daft. Breedon should do very well over the coming years.

"Neil Woodford is seeking talks with his former employer Invesco Perpetual over the transfer of some of his favourite shareholdings."

Interesting to note some of the companies mentioned in this piece are Raven Russia (RUS), Breedon Aggregates (BREE), Homeserve (HSV), Burford Capital (BURF), e-Therapeutics (EXTP) and Oxford Pharmascience (OXP)

citywire:

He already has 8.435% of BREE

From the RNS...

"This is exactly the kind of acquisition we're always on the lookout for. It builds our regional presence, extends our product range and gives us access to new markets, whilst adding further value for our shareholders. The Company is continuing to pursue other similar opportunities elsewhere in the UK."

I have always had confidence in the Breedon's management (I bought more last week)

So, Jefferies analyst Sam Cullen takes 20% out of Breedon?
Who's their paymaster?
Can't be INVESCO ......... Can it??

Thank you so much for that,
May explain weakness but still want to add.
See what tomorrow brings, not rushing.

Neil Woodford has bought 85m shares for his new venture.....excellent shareholder to have on board. Of course he was one of the early backers of Breedon at Invesco so he knows the management well.

re. post 95
Breedon latest 'risk management' policy worth a read, imo..

"Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays, Standard Life, Royal Bank of Scotland, the Macfarlane Group packaging business and Breedon Aggregates have all listed independence in their risk management sections."

Cut from here ......

for a hold, there is a lot of buying at present

I guess the analysts are liking what they are hearing at the moment (even though nothing new is being said) ;)
