Now is the time for Bisichi to do a deal imho. They have been researching for quite some time. Come on Bisichi, lets take a big step forward!

yes but it has very small reserves at present but could soar if it can aquire
more.

recent numis research suggests eps of 100p next year which puts them on a p/e of 4.
has anyone seen the research note?

BISI is seriously underperforming other coal stocks ... full quote and pays a dividend as well, versus AIM quoted GCM CZA CLN WTN

What is happening at GCM is not irrelevant to BISI.

Well the market does not agree with you Tam. Not at present.

This is very underrated and under the radar of many PI. The combination of increased production and much higher sale prices will gradually overwhelm the negative property factor.

Good statement today but not much detail - anyone seen anything about production targets?

Excellent news. Much lower production cost(open cast mining) and much higher revenues from high quality thermal coal sales.

It's about time LAS distributed their shares though, and maybe buy the property portfolio. One group is property, the other is coal. They would do better valuation wise if they just made the change.

Still looking very good here. Lets hope that they can finalise another coal acquisition in 2008. I think these guys are very cautious; any deal will be good value if they clinch one!

agreed coming year does look good, although the 2nd half wasn't as goos as expected, despite the 12% increase in july. Must admit I was expecting the worst when i read the results this morning as the writedown effectively reduces the NAV and had a material impact on the profit

With cheaper open cast mining to commence shortly at Wattle colliery and increased coal prices kicking in this year, BISI should make strong headway this year. Div up 20%!

interesting trades at the close yesterday

would have thought would have moved the price ordinarily give the low volumes, perhaps this is someone freeing up some stock for demand, buying on expection of the results, or of course getting rid

very good point; although i think the market is judging on pure fundamentals right now and the reserves won't matter until they are moving into the top and bottom line, in my view. Wouldn't be surprised to see a sale, idea to london and associated, of the property portfolio to finance growth. It's non core and cash balances are not high enough to fund a step change in growth.

the most important thing is extra reserves with these we will be off to the races but i am not optomistic on that front.
profits will be substantialy higher i am sure but the former is far more important.

results will be out on Monday, with an after tax profit of 1.5 in H1 and a 12% increase in the price achieve in July I think we can be fairly sure that the after tax profit for the year will be higher than last year. I guess it a question of how much.

This is very illiquid and trading volumes are very low so the price can be erratic, but what is going on in coal at the moment has not been reflected in the share price hardly at all. Hopefully results will help a bit.

In the current absence of any news, the fall in the share price is somewhat baffling, perhaps all might be revealed in the FY results. If there are no skeletons and the results are as good a H1, then we should see at least a 10% jump in the sp, with everything to play for given the big price hikes acheived by BISI for its coal in 2008/9
