15/4/2015 13:45 | Barclays and Lloyds Share Prices Look to Consolidate, Upside Bias Preferred .........The Barclays share price is meanwhile engaged in a move higher that is anything but smooth. The trend is up, but the range of highs and lows that form the wave formation are far apart which ensures setting correct entry and exit levels is difficult. As such, ultimate support on BARC is seen at 235p, far away from our last quotation on the stock at 258p. The next objective for bulls playing the Barclays move higher is a breach of resistance at 268p, this area failed to yield in Feb/March and we see a test coming soon. If a breach occurs then we would be confident that a run towards 297p is possible. If the consolidation period continues look for support at 242p to be tested, as long as BARC remains above here we are confident that ultimately the bulls will remain in charge in 2015. | triktrak

15/4/2015 06:46 | Investors in BP and Barclays urged to vote against excessive executive pay Bob Dudley, the boss of BP faces a backlash over his pay at its AGM tomorrow. He was awarded an £8.6million package for 2014, despite a less than robust performance in the face of the falling oil price and the fallout from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. In an alert published last night, shareholder group Pirc said the oil boss’s reward was equivalent to over 800 per cent of salary, which is ‘excessive&rsq At Barclays, chief executive Antony Jenkins’ £5.5million package was also described as ‘excessive&rsq Last month Barclays came under fire for handing Jenkins a pay package of £5.5million, including a £1.1million bonus – his first as chief executive – despite a 21 per cent fall in profits last year. Barclays will hold its annual meeting at the Royal Festival Hall in London on April 26. | johnwise
