morning all..................the 630-640 price is just mms making the last out of any that are willing to sell ahead of the offer...............they buy at sub 650, HCL pay 650 at takeover.................

any new rumours of another buyer and they'll adjust the price accordingly like they have before..............the problem is market conditions are not favourable............shame really as better times would have no doubt seen £10+ I'm sure imo...................

Does the ~630 suggest that the HCL bid may not go through. Only 2 weeks until the general meeting.

When Northgate was taken over I bought Axon with the proceeds.

I have sold Axon and am looking to replace with another share in the same market place.

Any ideas?

Incidentally Axon has helped keep me in the game for which I am truly thankful.

Reading infosys note they have not dropped out but have indicated that they will not increase there original bid. To me this gives some bottom support and suggests that if HCL drop out Infosys are still there.

would not be at all surprised if hcl pulled out or put it on the back burner.....things are a lot worse since these deals were put together....could put this back to 350 or lower

very tempted to put a big short on......

always an eye on the other side Screamer, but Standard Charter were one of those banks named earlier in the week with barclays, etc as part of the stablisation plan...........so government backed.....as tax payers we'll end up owning a chunk...........

got stopped out at 630..........poised to see if I can get 610 for a 40p v 20p (590 stop) punt............

More worrying is the chart on 9055, plunged through support like it didn't exist.

All we need now is Standard Chartered to say to HCL...sorry we're tightening our belts and no we wont back your bid for Axon.

Not saying that will happen, just think your blind optimism needs to be counterbalanced sometimes BB

morning all..........cor look at the chart on post 5096................DOW is just about there on the second line.................

so infy struggling.........HCL backed by Standard Charter - backed by the government I think looking to be the winner at 650................shame market conditions are that bad - and when I mean market I mean the engineered drops that are taking place imo - that decent companies like retail etc....will now start feeling the pinch.............

still, plenty of room to move re interest rates so plenty of silver bullets left...............2% anyone????????????

ps, finally the froth coming off oil in a decent way.............$50 for that too soon?????????
