It hit 14.25p on the 30th April (briefly), I would hope to see that again if we get good news on the case.

Here it is, from last autumn, it gave me a titter...

From this weeks instalment of Analcyst.com, for investors feeling the itch:

Guys,

I was recently pointed in the direction of Big Burger Holdings of Hampstead Heath. But enough of my eating habbits, on to the share comments (not tips you understand, lest I be accused of creating a false market). I'm going short on anything to do with health clubs and gymnasiums. I can't see the point in them. I accidentally walk into a "big biceps" the other day, it was next door to happy burger and I went in the wrong entrance when a discarded chocolate bar caught my attention. Full of athletic but sweaty individuals, a complete turn off. Why people would want to invest in them is quite beyond me. I'm also short on anything with so called 'health benefits'. I know what's good for me and I don't need some loser with a PhD pretending they know better than I.

I'm long on Krispy Kreme, what those guys can do with sugar is simply unbelievable. And very long on Burger King, Macdonalds and Wimpy. I'm a bit ambivalent about KFC, as the portions never leave me feeling satisfied.

Happy investing.

Yesterday afternoon, mm's would only sell 1,000 shares max at a time but take plenty off you, up to 100k at one point, and above the then bid. It just appears they are using the market performance to try and get a few cheap ones. Back down to the same price they were before yesterdays run up now. An update from Simon Cawkwell yesterday where he said he thinks ACE will not go bust so a buy up to 15p.
There was a 200k buy yesterday also at 10p. Quite large for ACE.

I have to chip in and to a degree i think Pan has a point, too many yes men at the top with friends and family having the say when more exp would be much better for investors and employees alike. Martin Andrews comes accross well from an investor point of view not sure about others that are more opperational.
That said the company do have some very good people my contact has said who deals with staff inside their coleshill location, the delivery guys at warrington and the sales staff that look after the day to days of his needs.

Not sure about your comment on its not what you hear from the company. I hear there is a buzz about the place, sure things are not what they used to be but claims are coming in and cars are going out on rent and cash is being collected and that is from a very good source, oh expect to see news on credit repair soon...

Goes to show that sometimes you can be too close to a company or think you are and as always research is the key...

DYOr as always is my motto

Pan- it is a lesson in understanding the risks to investing in any stock so research is a must. CEO's do not get to where they are without being slick, many of them anyway! always remember you are buying a share someone has sold or is selling, so why are they doing this and what do they know that you don't or the other way around- but im sure you know this now. IMO this will 5 bag at least..im in this from just over 7p so that will be good.

ROBO i hope they are but from what i am being told that's not the case. Yes i was mugged into thinking that it was a good stock to buy into after meeting at the belfry and the Xmas due. It has taught me a life lesson for sure.

What ever happens they wont be getting any more of my money. A family run business with people who really are out of there depth. Maybe if they had a few more experienced directs this wouldn't have happened, but that's what you get when family and friends get involved at the top.

Its no lie i have touch of sour grapes, but then again who wouldn't when you feel like you have been mugged off.

Anyway like i said before this is only my opinion as i see it.

pan1234- sounds like you bought in without researching what you were buying into- and i would suggest many of your 'friends' did. you say its not a bed of roses at AX? good! i hope people are working bloody hard collecting cash and getting cars on hire- maybe if they had done that before the share price would be a lot higher and not so mug punters would have given their money away- the markets need mug punters

Another pulse.. Nurse.. The patient lives..

Mm's tight on shares and a second bought of speculative buying. Looks like a glimmer in the ashes. Could that be a pheonix?? Or perhaps some insight into the ultra quiet court preceedings. I cant believe no ones heard a peep from the courts. The wheels of justice turn slowly and apparently, very quietly.

Come on ACE.

Davius, yes lol.

I see they reverted back to only offering 1,000 shares at 11.5p so another tick up coming soon.

Lol, eight out of ten, not 8p/10p.

Now 2-2 at 10.5-11.5p. Incidentally, NMS is 15000 shares, that's the size the market makers have to trade at, they can't offer less or ask more unless they move their quoted price. It's a bit like putting an order on the book via direct access, as I understand it.

I'm being offered 15K at 11.5p, however they can halt auto trading if they want and then you have to ring your broker. But it's always a good idea to buy NMS or multiples of, to ensure that you can sell them if it goes pear shaped.

(I've had the situation in the past where I wanted to sell 30K of a stock with a 15K NMS, and was offered way below bid for the lot, but sold them in two separate lots, both at bid)

Live price is 10-11p Davius. Max buy online is 1,000 shares. MM's want 13p for anything around 5,000 shares or above. Just proves they have no stock and the share price should not be down here.
