No problem Davius, just one thing, if you went off what has happened in the past, then not a lot of shares are worth buying. It's all about the future with MTV.
With a £3 million market cap, it won't take much to get it moving in the right direction.

> themoneymonster2 - 21 May'10 - 08:53 - 6925 of 6927 - Re MTV

A week after putting one of their majority owned businesses into administration they raised £400K at 0.2p a share, to keep the company going. Required because they were having trouble selling assets, as announced in December. They plan to sell Brown Eyed Boy, but offer no indication of price.

Claim to fame: They produced "Delia's Classic Christmas"

Motive's main investments include:
* A 49.9% interest in comedy production company Brown Eyed Boy
* A 50.6% interest in Manchester-based Scarlet Television
* A 100% interest in Dublin-based production company Motive Television Ltd

The first of which is being sold, the second is in administration.

They aren't yet profitable, once the assets are sold they'll need to make money or will become another tired AIM stock constantly raising funds through placings. Very illiquid, no trades most days, NMS of 50K (£275 worth).

Thanks, but no thanks. However, I hope it works out for you, and personally have no objection to stocks being suggested O/T.

Just thought I would alert you all to MTV.

MTV have a broker target (above) of 4p, a 8 x bagger from the current 0.5p to buy. MTV have to announce their final results to end Jan 2009, before end of June 2010, so only 6 weeks max to news.

On 21st April, MTV announced that it is in advanced discussions to sell their subsidiary "BEB", see :

Rumours are that MTV will also announce a current trading update and contract news with the end 2009 results so this could easily multi bag on that news.

I know a lot of people are hoping for a multiple share price of the 4p broker target, never mind this current 0.5p. The current market cap is only £3 million with plenty of cash to see them implement their strategy.

It is well worth buying some. This is not a ramp as the share price targets are backed up by the broker report.

Do some of your own reserach also, but this looks like a great punt at this price.

TheNorth that is not what i hear ATM. I used to work there before the cull, i could tell you some stories that would make you think again. I know by saying that you will be thinking whats he talking about. Well let me tell you they culled allot of people in transport but for some reason kept most the team-leader and mangers in that area without pay review. Now i am not sure what has gone on in the rest of the business but, if the rest of teams have followed suit, then i am afraid they have more chiefs then Indians.

Like i said before i have a vested interests in the business and i hope that the directors can turn this around for me and my friends there. But from what the ground level staff are talking about well life is not a bed of roses.

Treb the update to that is claims are circa 100 a day and most are are prestige, ACE conversion of claims into hires was one of the best in this space so i would expect 60 to 70 cars on hire a day, now the best bit 80% at an average of £2900 per hire invoice of these are prestige which is better than 200 cars going out at £20 a day giving an average hire invoice of £800 IMO. Remember the staff numbers are way down from where they were and the fleet as halved so its a leaner business these days.
Not heard about the manufacturer pulling their finance arrangement but what i do know ACE bought or are buying great numbers of prestige vehicles as we type.

On the wage cut reversal its only gossip at the moment, so Robo was right.

The North... no need to apologise for anything. You are are in a minority
on BB's in that you say it straight, as you see it, and have no axe to grind.
you have some insight and you share it, which is good, in that you always qualify by saying you are not directly 'connected'.
Having said that, and, on another BB said "it won't be long now" - re. autofocus, I may have been premature. In another existence - as a journalist/telly/radio tart - I had some experience of all the different courts of law. Criminal cases almost always have a final day with the summings up and a verdict. However, there are circumstances where the A/F cause may end.... but the judge may reserve judgement.... so we don't get a result - either way- at the end of the formal hearing. Limbo, is what I'm getting at....
or not.... if the High Court judge is convinced, one way or another.
Anyway, let's keep this thread alive. Regards.

Good morning, and fair play Robo who has answered the point. Good to have two people with some insight and, no, most peeps do not base investment decisions
on comments made on BB's. But thanks for the warning anway. Keep posting
fellas and fingers crossed that Ace strategy can bear some fruit.
Best regards.

TN, Good Morning. There is not a competition here for who has the best contact. You clearly have a good one as what I have been able to find out mirrors yours. You may be right that the salary increase will happen later in the year, I was told that it may not have happened as yet. Like you say ACE are buying cars and more recently. My contact buys used cars from them and is invested here (from £1!!) so I may be able to gain more info from that side rather than financial postiton, but all pointers are looking 'North' for me.

Nicely put Robo and to be fair to you I would not ask the name of your contact other than their relationship to ACE? Mine as I have said is an ACE referrer.

As for the wage cut reversal its going to happen later this year so I will double check this info and get back to you, it was announced in the same correspondence sent to the ACE staff announcing the pension contri commencement.

Ill be back!

I think you've pulled him up short there, The North!

I think thats a little unfair dyfiman.

TN you have lots of information and are well briefed. and I am not trying to muscle in with the information feed but I would go back to your contact to question the wage cut reversal? Although I have been informed any accrued bonus is to be paid. Came out of the blue I hear. Bonus you might say!! And all that TN has posted I have been told similar so good contact North.
Do i really need to disclose my contact here? Similar to TN's all 3rd hand. I think what Ive posted may tell you enough that im not a talker.
things are looking very good. Good luck all

Hello dyfiman, i'm very well thank you. Glad my info is of some use to you!

Only bit of news I have is that ACE have managed to turn some accounts back round and the mix of claims is very much in favour of prestige hires. I too hear that they are buying cars again in big numbers and the final bit is that not only have the staff had their pension contri's restored and their wage cuts reversed but also the bonus they have earned has also been promised to them which IMO is all a very important stance in terms of financial stability. Like you say it's an optimistic view but its one I certainly share.

Please don't take my posts other than info and remember its third hand via one of ACE's customers so do not base your trades and investments upon what I type! I could be wrong...

I think you've pulled him up short there, The North! how are you anyway?
You've been a balanced observer of this Ace nightmare for a long while
and thanks for the insights along the way. Have you heard anything new?
'Spose it's banal, really. It's down to renegs of loan facilities and outcome of Autofocus case. If there's a positive on those fronts, tied in with the economies and restructuring, then it's game on. It's optimistic to hope for
that triple whammy..... so let's just sit tight and see what pans out.
Thanks again for your comments over these long months and best regards all.
