I take your point Acamas, but I'm not doing any of those...

I am just being open and honest in my stance on a day where there is nothing else to talk about...

It must be clear from previous posts that my long term strategy is to hold my core of well over 100k until they at least double, at which time I will sit on the rest for my old age and juicy dividends...

Meanwhile, I always have a view as to whether they are too cheap or too expensive, which is how I got my average down below 86p...

The thing is, many years ago someone who became a friend pointed me in the direction of ADVFN as a mine of information about every quoted share. I never buy or sell any share without reading ADVFN and LSE together with any other objective information I can find on the internet.

Since I arrived on ADVFN at least 5 years ago, I have found BB posts immensely helpful and I'm sure you recognise that I genuinely appreciate the helpful and constructive posts I read on here from guys who are able to see through the fog and the negativity from some posters...

So sharing my own position openly is not braggadocio, ramping or deramping...it is simply to help people who may be wondering whether to buy or sell and, in the meantime, to be aware of other potential opportunities in other shares/markets.

I may often be wrong. I will admit it. I am occasionally overenthusiastic. However, several posters on here have found my occasional asides useful and of course I trust they will always make up their own minds...

You can see from the paucity of recent posts here and the minuscule trading activity that most people are waiting for the revised resource report....directors buys...3rd quarter performance...or anything to keep them interested or pique their activity.

This is by far my most visited BB. I look forward to reading all the objective, constructive posts and dread reading the subjective, mindless negativity that occasionally appears.

I have made good contacts/'friends' through here and I always read your posts Acamas. I am sorry you feel I have some alternative agenda. I only have two:

To make money

To discuss this and other prospects to make money. It's just that ATYM is by far the biggest investment I have ever made and I remain long term very bullish...

Thanks as always for your well-meaning comments.

Cheers

rp,

What you trade is between you and your broker. We have no means of substantiating information posted on these boards concerning volumes and profits of individuals.

So one tends to think are they posting to ramp or to short just what is their game?

If not the above then are they boasting as to their prowess at the art of investing

So you see you are damned if you do and you are damned if you don't.

That is why I never discuss my actions on the Stockmarket no brownie points to be gained by doing so imo

You may not...no point sharing this on KRS BB because only existing holders visit there...just trying to be helpful...I think my gold/silver/copper strategy is transparent...

What would you rather talk about lango...you must have more negative thoughts than just "we don't care"...?

Or is it ATYM you don't care about...

"In this regard the delegate has expressed confidence that "the company is going to meet."

Looks like a storm in a teacup...Health & Safety rules...regional board shooting themselves in the foot despite the massive job and wealth creation brought to the region by Atalya...

However if the share price slips I'm buying...

G'night all...

Husbod,

Why do you have to have run a business to be proficient in the game of "Yes Minister"?

So long as you keep the paper trail going you have reason for being. You do not have to achieve a profit just make sure the rules and regs are abided with at whatever cost.

That sounds a great idea - fine a major employer in a job starved region 300k euros. What a grandiose title "Territorial Delegation of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment". Bet none of them have ever run a business.

At the moment I'm fully invested for the long term charmer, having traded a few around the results...still got well over 100k...

It was the copper price I was talking about...

However, I am watching for an opportunity to get back in the low 80s again to trade some...

Meanwhile RMM flying at last...second highest mover...

Atalaya disciplinary proceedings against Mining for security in Riotinto

HUELVA, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) - Territorial Delegation of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of the Junta de Andalusia in Huelva has opened disciplinary proceedings against Atalaya Mining, before Emed Tartessus, for breach, qualified in principle as "serious" safety in the mine Rio Tinto, the sanction could reach up to 300,000 euros. Speaking to Europa Press, the territorial delegate of Economy, Manuel Ceada, it has stated that, following the technical routine inspecti ...

Copper price consolidating nicely and is a leading indicator of what is to come, so will move before the supply deficit hits...

No great volume but a tight spread, which augurs well for liquidity going forward...

AIMHO as usual...

A very quick way to look at it is 45KTPA of copper is about 100M/lbs, as near as makes no difference Acamas, and we will be making around that about now.

So a $10c/lb profit = $10M pre tax profit with Copper @ $2.20/lb, costs at $2.00 and payable Copper @$2.10/lb after discounts/penalties, so it's a pretty easy calc to do and where I think we are about now and a maiden profit (albeit a small 1) is achievable in Q4.

Where this will really get going is with Copper @ >$2.50, $3.00 we are laughing, and can pay Astor off in less than a year.

LOM is only on proven resources @16.5 years in the Cerro Colorado pit, it won't run out there, it's a multi deposit site, we have Filon Sur, Filon Norte, San Dionisio, San Antonio, Salomon, Planes, the drilling exploration will start on some of these once we are running at a steady state 9.5MTPA and then blended if we need it, and then there's the Rumbo JV Gold project too, plus anything else that gets discovered, we won't see all that for sure, but we will see some of it..!

The new 43-101 report due in a week or 2 which will more accurately forecast costs..

Cannacord Genuity £2.22
Finncap £2.09
Mirabaud £1.75
Peel Hunt £1.60

LLB,

I am looking forward to seeing just how much pretax profit we will make once we have been producing at 9.5million tonnes per annum. The last figure I saw was $71 million but I do not believe that was on an output of 9.5 million. I believe it was less output than that.

The other point I am scratching my head over is LOM. There is talk of expansion in the area. Why should it all dry up after just 20 years? When it has been going for 150 years.

There are still unanswered questions over the future for ATYM. How will profits be reinvested for one?

Hi Acamas, the general consensus of 'experts' have the global Copper supply tipping into deficit from '17 into '18, so on that basis I would suggest that us hitting that market fully scaled up to 9.5MTPA and making 45KTPA of Copper from year end is a pretty good recipe as far as timings go..!

Q3 closes this week so we will get an operations update in a couple of weeks time from now, but we are without doubt heading towards B/E, which is another milestone towards a maiden profit.

The Astor situation isn't going to cripple us even if the judgement goes against us, we will pay them off out of profits as they become available to do so. The original deal was over 6/7 years anyhow and stands a good chance of bring re-evaluated.

We will most likely have another 2 or 3 commodity cycles over our LOM, but from an investors standpoint having made and holding a 10 year bet, then managing it mentally, I am happier here at the bottom watching it unfold than say at $3.50-4 copper knowing it's all going to go south for the next 5 years and the share price with it..!

LLB,

If your projections are to be proved correct then you have to ask yourself could a football team like Leicester win The Title. If you believe they have a chance then so does ATYM imo

Copper $2.19..., and trickling up, it couldn't happen at a better time either, just as we are rolling at 9MPTA and then flat out before year end..!

Have we hit our project timing correctly..?

I think so, starting out at the bottom of a rising copper price and selling into it as we scale up, with the projections of over supply turning to deficit in '17/18 we could well be sailing into a perfect storm..

Would have if I had known what was about to happen canaries. The bloody thing has been on what I now call "The Atalaya Curve" ie a fairly smooth downwards trajectory for years. I'd more or less written it off to be honest.

Good to see we are resisting heroically the Cu price improvement. Are the Cu bulls finally getting the upper hand?
