Perhaps you can diagnose ABH and perhaps attach some jump leads to Nick Smiths nuts and see why the company has no heart beat.

You know nothing of my hopes or wants , you know nothing of me and you know even less of what is happening here.

You are a glorified grease monkey mechaninc with a £3k diagnostics machine. that don't make you no auto technician Dave, just a sad old has been who needs a machine to tell him the car has no petrol in it. Innit!

Who says short sellers can't close when company is bust? Another fool who knows very little of the market mechanics.

Well, that would be the first pleasant surprise for a long time but forgive me for not banking on it. In the meantime, where are all the buys that would be required to burn the shorters or is this just going to happen when the company goes bust and the shorters can't sell?

'I suspect that if you take a vote asking shareholders whether they would have preferred the directors to sit on the cash instead of investing in Cramlington then there would be an overwhelming yes vote'

sure, in hindsight
However, as I've suggested, that was probably never an option
it was either
a) cash for expansion - which is where we are now
b) no further cash - and without the orders, ABH would have run out regardless

Do you not see that?

'The directors either didn't have a clue how to get the contracts they were chasing or never really intended to get them'

you're just making that up and have no idea. I admit I cant say either way whether ABH's team did a good job of going after the contracts - it's time you did too

a) other small CMOs have struggled to gain business and we know some of the clients hit problems
b) as I said, if ABH was making it up, what did they have to gain given they spent the cash. They'd only have gained if they raised cash on the back of the talk and then sat on it.

I suspect that if you take a vote asking shareholders whether they would have preferred the directors to sit on the cash instead of investing in Cramlington then there would be an overwhelming yes vote. Shareholders only supported this a the time as they believed the guff that the directors were spouting at the time and for many many months afterwards.

The directors either didn't have a clue how to get the contracts they were chasing or never really intended to get them - either way it is extremely unsatisfactory and the fact that the directors have shown no remorse, have not apologised and have continued to draw salaries shows you where their true hearts lie!

It's Fujifilm Diosynth by the way

a) is there any interaction? Andrew Carver moved over, but it's a better job - why can you read anymore into that?

b) Fujifilm is expanding. ABH may be needed to fill a gap there, but I'm not aware of anything further to say there's 'so much' interaction

TUESDAY, 19 JUNE 2012
Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies to expand facilities in UK
Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies is further increasing its contract process development and manufacturing capabilities through the expansion of its services in mammalian cell line development and process development, and the addition of a new multi-product cGMP facility in Billingham, UK. The company said work has commenced on a state-of-the-art cGMP cell bank and 1000L biologics manufacturing facility based upon single-use technology for both upstream and downstream operations. The cell bank manufacturing facility is expected to be available from Q2, 2013 and the mammalian cell culture biologics manufacturing facility is expected to be validated and fully operational in the second half of 2013.

What interaction? Please elaborate

'....but the buying didn't stop today lavvy'

you suggesting someone is mopping up for a takeover?

Peg, we're on the same side I'm sure.
It's a shame you unwilling to discuss with me or back up your claims

hedge

I have explained to you that ABH HAD TO expand beyond Pentlands. In light of that, what did they do wrong, tell me

Despite your claims, it is NOT possible to secure guarantees in advance. As I've suggested, you're taking experience from another sector and applying it in a manner that is not appropriate

If you look back at my posts, I am not particularly complementary about ABH management. I just understand the challenges they have faced

'Why are you so keen to defend the indefensible?'

enin - because that's not the case. because the reality is as I've put to you, but you're too childish to accept that or understand

'do you think that any investor is able to look back and say that they understood the business model when they have at best been misled and at worst been utterly hoodwinked'

oh dont be so silly - tell me then. What in the explanations I've given to you is wrong?

Sure, the company may have erred to the optimistic side regarding contract hopes, but I do think what they said was true by and large.

At the end of the day, if the contract hopes weren't true, then why did they bother?
They spent the money they raised on Cramlington and the acquisition
That plan cost GS and Dr H their jobs

If the contracts didnt have a good chance of coming in, would they not have been better off picking an alternative strategy that would have worked - such as just sitting on the cash rather than spending it?

Answer me that if you're really right!

Im still in awe at the ability of many Aim listed Companies, to hold any credibility with the investment comunity. The internet and day trading has provided a ready supply of foolish money for anyone who read the book about getting rich quick. To sum up a 300 page book, it basically said........." to get rich quick, dont BUY shares, SELL shares. So, have an idea, set up a Company and SELL, SELL, SELL, until they stop buying.

Alas for ABH, on their own admission, the fools HAVE stopped buying.

The music is about to stop. I bet the Directors have a chair to sit on.
