It wasn't easy to keep the shares with £50k loss over the years. 5-8k loss seems like a good deal now.

i think the SOU effect has whetted peoples appetite for the small oil/gas company

I agree with Malcy. Its clear NT1 didn't tap a small isolated reservoir. Ruvuma onshore is a 'gas field'. Plenty of upside here to come. I still maintain a larger player may be looking over AEX's shoulder. And there is plenty of equity to farm out.

I have a feeling I should be selling at least half of my holding at a £3k loss

I wonder how BLVN shareholders are feeling right now.

Here are some literal quotes from shareholders "If I become more comfortable with COC, I will remove my offer."

"I have done my due diligence on COC and am siding with them."

Get used to that COC, boys. :)

Maybe???
1, Further Seismic analysis indicates a larger field and substantial increase in reserves.
2, Liquid hydrocarbons (oil) have been brought to the surface, now that would be nice, unexpected but nice.
3, funds buying.

Morning LT and me...I'm old fashioned about money too. No I was pulling Skin's leg about him complaining all these years and not really caring or needing to care about the money.

No really pleased for you and hope the rise can continue with some substance behind it.

Gerry

Not true - I have always linked my spending to what I earn and possess.

I might actually go a little mad when I get back and buy a decent replacement for my 14-year old Rover which is nudging 180,000 miles!

Call me old-fashioned but it was the way I was brought up!

8) ii's accumulating the stock into their O&G funds. Willing to buy at anything below £200m MCAP? £250m MCAP? More?

I'd like a RNS that states they know some very good reasons for today's (and last week's)rise.

I must now be up about thirteen shillings and sixpence

Theories re todays rise:
1) When drilling deeper to set casing they found further pay
2) Analysis of logs / cuttings etc suggest they have hit a much larger reservoir than suggested on seismic
3) The first flow test was very good
4) The pump and dump merchants are out in force
5) It's just PI's jumping on the bandwagon after the weekend
6) A predator is stake building and hoovering up stock
7) Something else

The ii's obviously don't think it's too dear yet. They buy for long term funds, not for a day-trading pittance.
