there's a little more info on SOLO's thread,

Neil Ritson, Solo's Chairman commented:

"Solo is delighted that the first payment for gas from the Kiliwani North field has been made with minimal delay. Whilst the first payment is quite small, reflecting initial commissioning rates, we are pleased that an income stream has now commenced. Future payments will be larger and create an underlying cash flow from operations that will support Solo's ongoing investments. At a production rate of 25 million cubic feet per day and Solo's current interest these payments equate to approximately US$150,000 per month."

skin....you aren't showing signs of ASII, are you? : )

On a more serious note, nice to see them get some income flowing ( if you'll pardon the pun! ) but a bit more detail wouldn't have gone astray imo.

Wouldn't it be just great if this signalled the start of a new positive period for the Aminex SP?
Am I getting carried away?
Should I be carried off to the psychiatric ward?

I concur with rossannan and add that some people will say anything to try and generate negative spin, on what are very positive announcements.

Also since when do debt repayments affect profitability?

Interest on debt - well that's another matter.

haggis, that's not a fact at all. Do the maths taking consideration of running costs, debt repayments etc.

It might keep the lights on but there won't be much if anything for something else.

So your statement 'very profitable' is quite frankly ridiculous.

Extrapolate the SOLO figure into Aminexs' income, it's a lot of money, especially for what has been a loss making company for years, now to be a very profitable company and thats a fact not blue sky.

"Aminex PLC is a producing company which is premium listed on the London Stock Exchange and primary-listed on the Irish Stock Exchange...."

It not the amount of money that is significant its the fact that payments have started, how many AIM companies have an income stream

wondering about the volume they were paid for is hardly nitpicking....seems a reasonable question imo.

ngms,

"Solo is pleased to announce that it has been informed by Aminex PLC, operator of the Kiliwani North Field, that payment has now been received for its first invoice in relation to gas produced from the Kiliwani North-1 well in Tanzania during April and May and supplied to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation ("TPDC")."

Who cares? Nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking! We know Aminex will have enough income to cover costs and some, it will be a profitable company at the operational level. Big gains can be made by proving up Ruvuma. Stop nitpicking about very short term irrelevant figures.

First Gas was the 6th April. How long will the commissioning phase take? The intial figure was put at 8 weeks.

Why haven't Aminex stated how much the payment was for?
Why haven't Aminex stated which period the payment is for given they are supposed to be paid monthly?

from Solo's RNS, no mention of taking up a further interest in KN, also NR by way of example, would seems to suggest a production rate of 25mmcfd
