that seems unreasonably harsh Gerry. Bedding cows, goats and sheep is positively encouraged in these parts.

Bun, you’re putting your reputation as a seasoned stalwart of the markets at serious risk. You’re research is normally impeccable but on this occasion you’ve let your standards slip.

Mon 15 Aug AEX open 1.375p
Fri 19 Aug AEX close 1.825p

If I didn't know better I might suspect you of a little bit of clandestine deramping; references to rumours and such! You're not short AEX are you?

Looks like it's set to recover from the falls last week. Maybe the doom mongers were banging the wrong drum? Let's see if the rumours are well founded or just rumours.

Notory 1 although not producing free carry on the 2 Wells to be drill for 12.5 % of Notory 1 and nt2 + nt3 bearing in mind the plan to fast track production prime acreage to pipeline hook up, less cost Wentworth doesn't look so appealing

Well when it put like that it would be a producing asset good income but would the blunders be happy with kh spending £42 million on a asset?

If BLVN were to appear anywhere in S Tanzania, perhaps it's more likely to be taking out WRL now languishing at 26p again (m cap £42m/$56m) despite having over 30% of a solidly producing asset with income of $3.43m last quarter - an share price level despite a producing asset which might flash up a few warnings to those getting carried away on here.

Notably absent too from their second quarter results was an indication that gas sales had climbed back to c76mmcfd and that the Symbion power plant had resumed production after it had stopped due to Tanesco not settling its outstanding debts with them.

And in that regard, perhaps the Tanesco problems might serve as a warning to AEX management over the great foolishness and great risks attaching to an early production local power generating system.

i wonder whether BLVN will reappear with part or even all of Solo's Tanzania'n interests, i think BLVN lost out to Zubair where Aminex was concerned.

The cows might be drawn to the exciting lifestyle. Some are probably quite young and are easily led by the promise of a new bell. Seen it so many times.

I'm pretty sure that Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? was Bobby Goldsboro's follow up single after his success with "Honey". He never did work out the reason it too wasn't a success.

Maybe he should have contacted Ishikawa, he might have lent him a fishbone diagram.

I sometimes smile at the naivety of some of the younger posters on here. Let's be clear. Of course, the price drops because there are more sells than buys. The question is why?

I'll educate you on some things. You buy a new Toyota car. It breaks down. When you take it to be repaired the mechanic will always say "Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?". It's called the five whys technique. It's not just that the car has broken down - you have to find out WHY it has broken down. Simply repeating why five times might sound like panic, but actually it makes you really consider what the underlying root cause is. The car didn't just break by magic. Something must have happened. Maybe a tyre exploded or some children stuffed a potatoe in the exhaust pipe (Happened to us five times in 2007 then we moved house only for it to start again this year. Simply can't afford another move.) "Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?".

I've actually thought of an improvement to this technique called the ten whys but I won't explain the details at the moment. Not road tested it yet.

So. THINK. Why would there be a sharp drop in price? I don't have the answer- but I understand the question. Once you get to that level you'll start making better investment decisions.

Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?

I have a theory about the fall in the sp, although it is only a theory because I haven't been around AEX very long - (not sure if it's nine years or only eight).

My theory is that the price fell because more people wanted to sell than wanted to buy.

Quite outrageous, I know.
