Beware oilmen bigging it up (they generally do).
Detmer jumped ship - the nodding donkey will confirm (although he hates to admit it)

• Aminex (LON:AEX) – Cash Flow the Only Focus Should be the Only Now: The past aside, there is approaching a watershed for the Company which will see its valuation reassessed, and the market "worth" start to reflect the value of the underlying assets, rather than a company living hand to mouth because of its profligacy with the value of its asset base.

warbaby - Interesting gossip. Didn't know Detmer had gone AWOL. Obviously something was very wrong but didn't know he'd just stopped turning up.

Our Google mapping experts should be able to advise if this is going to help shifting rigs round the PSA.

What, for me, underlined just how underdeveloped and backward Tanzania is came in a World Bank report linked to by BB2 last yeat on the financing of the Mdimba processing plant in which it indicated that out of 834km of roads in Mtwara District only 36km were paved.

Let's hope that AEX has got its titles nailed down. Land and compensation disputes multiply wherever there's development (just ask the mining companies) and it's probably a toss up which is the more corrupt, the Ministry of Lands or the Tanzanian judiciary

With regard to drilling Ntorya-2, I would suggest that some form of corporate activity, other than a farmout, should not be precluded. Three pieces of evidence at least for this:

a) Hints in ARs and Statements

b) The form of wording in the Malcy interview @ 51697 along the lines of "very supportive lender, working with hand in hand to grow the coy" and then, post production start - "much stronger position to develop assets and expand business" (This theme of expanding business was repeated several times during interview.)

c) The near invisible Big Phil's track record as a deal-maker. The Twins division of labour is plainly that JB fronts the operational side and the TPDC negotiations while big brother Phil beavers away in the background on some form of corporate action.

My theory anyway, but all peeing in wind without GSA.

My view is that once they announce the GSA they will get a placing away straight away.

Wouldn't be a surprise, though I'd also think that a mixture of funding may be a possibility. With the GSA signed possibilities of renegotiation of the debt, or other loans on better terms are possible.

And I wouldn't rule out a farmout as a possibility either at this stage.

However, if it comes to a choice of 25% dilution or N-2 not getting drilled then I really don't see a placing as a problem.

Not bad at all all depends on the detail and market acceptance and whether the share price would in fact fall that low even when placing announced. Its all guesswork but for now patience is again needed.

I think so too a placing is inevitable and will be I reckon at 2p a day after the spike once GSA announced. IMO

So put it another way AEX need:

Approx $6.8 to pay off the Argo loan
Approx $10m to drill NT-2

I will be kind and say $15m or 10 million sterling

Current market cap is 45 million

So I'd think we are looking at a 25% to 35% dilution without a farmin.

My view is that once they announce the GSA they will get a placing away straight away.

There is a plan
We just don't know what it is yet
Question is will we like it ?
The share price is going in the right direction for a change
And that speaks volumes IMO

a bit of fun Bun, from that last presentation they positioned Norya-1 and N-2 on google maps, zoom in just about 4 Km north of Nanguruwe, the Ntorya-1 clearing can be seen clearly and from that you can now work out where N-2 is going to be drilled

As someone who has expressed doubts over the intentions of the Big Boys to proceed with the development of the offshore finds, items like this do tend to undermine those doubts:

And this, though the last few lines do emphasize just how little gas demand there has been pending the commissioning of the new gas burning power plants:

2.1p level met as predicted with a spike down.. 2p has good support.

I would suggest institutional work has been done at or around this level and once KN production has started plus finance 2.5-3p.

Note. Solo Oil have been rather quiet..I wonder why?

Ntorya-2 is the big prize. 3-4p once drilling has commenced.

In his recent interview when JB used the word "imminent" and the blonde bird then pressed him, he immediately became evasive and waffled. Indeed, in that interview he was a lot less fluent and a lot more halting in his speech than when it was a set-up with his fawning mate Malcy.

My guess is that the use of the word "imminent" was ill-advised and one he now regrets ever uttering.

It sure don't do owt for his credibility unless the GSA really is going to arrive any time now.
