zeebi..why would you edit your earlier posts and remove the following statement?
Zeebi 10 Feb'15 - 10:38 - 29 of 29 0 0

"Anyone seen that news this morning ? a canadian company almost identical to ALR
has just been bought for the equivalent of 15 times ALR,s market cap and they
have no revenue or any patents.Makes you wonder what this could be worth?

I see the secretary of state for energy is making a statement this thursday
on Green Street Lighting,as ALR is one of very few players in this market
there is a good chance of some chunky orders around the corner.

That distribution agreement they just signed is now making alot of sense!"

I have had a good look around and the only takeover of sorts that I can see is that of canadian company lumenpulse taking over Ariane controls.
lumenpulse are capped at 400 million canadian but have sales of 100 mil a year.

looking forward to hearing what Ed our energy secretary has to say tomorrow.

lovescat inc, in partnership with the TOP traders thread are launching a new unit trust to take advantage of all the incredibly well thought out rational advice handed out on that thread.

The quality of these tips remain consistent* The trust will launch on Friday and will be called the TOP Boileroom fund. We envisage a performance based on previous tips handed out on that thread will be total annihilation of your capital in two weeks.

seems some are in a rush to exit.

lets see what the environment minister says tomorrow on council lighting and costs.

lets not forget that the beauty of the distribution deal signed last month is that councils dont need the money upfront.

"GSL's financial model will enable local authorities to exchange non-LED lights for more efficient LED lights without having to find the capital cost of the replacement lights."

RE: short attention spans

Hi, im not yet invested here but have followed this board for a while and my interest is there.
Been doing some research as I see the comments re tomorrows possible statement from the Environment Minister, but pretty much every council district I look at seems to have a strategy in place regards LED lighting...Many dating back to early last year.

Will tomorrows statement have a significant bearing on this i.e., is it a mandate that will force a speeding up of investment...?

short attention spans

people these days really have short attention spans,
we have the environment minister speaking tomorrow and the possibility of councils speeding up their switch to led street lighting and yet people sell less than a day after buying in for the very reason

I see flops was pumping this. What a spread looks impossible to trade a profit unless a big swing in price.

does look like a vast market

if England has 42 counties..
and Hertfordshire, for instance, are spending £6 million on changing all their A'roads to LED street lighting, .... and on Thursday we (may) hear, from the Minister, that all UK counties have to adopt it, well .... do the maths :-)

alr has a mkt cap of 4.5m ....

Proven savings with LED street lighting in Australia:

The savings are significant. City of Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore said that the lighting will reduce emissions, halve the energy use and save about $800,000 a year in electricity bills and maintenance costs. According to the City of Sydney, the LED lights will cut emissions equivalent to 2,861 tonnes ‑ or taking 940 cars off the road. It also stated that LED lights use 40 per cent less electricity and cut the City’s carbon output by 40 per cent.
