thank you tricky bnc is £8.47 down down deeper and down today.
this is highway robbery, how can they get away with this swindle. i bought for long term growth at £5.07, now ive been stuck up shafted and cant do athing about it.....

loganair, bs epic san are currently 40 dollars or 20 quid - it was those shares i got when they took over hbos so i was assuming it would be the same again.

bnc down 26p today

they are one of these companies that discreetly hang about in the background,

but

the alliance and leicester bid has shone a light on their finances

and

they have been found wanting and vunerable.

why?....

do you think they have offered an all paper offer for al.

because

they have been hit hard by costa of a casa in spain.

Crazi - imo - There will not be another bider.

1). Sell on the open market for cash
2). Take the BNC shares. These will rise over time, however should the bid not be accepted my the A&L share holders expect the share price to fall an immediate £1 to £1.50, then a slow drift sub £1.

If another bidder appears and is successful A&L have to pay BNC £12.5 million. I would also guess that both sides advisor's were able to do a reasonable calculation on how the vote might go when put to shareholders. That is probably why A&L Directors were so quick to accept the BNC offer. It reeks of a done deal us PI's will not sway the outcome imo

I would not rely on the noises some of these life companies make who have bigger stakes in the company...they tend to say one thing and do the opposite...it is a publicity stunt...

Crazi -

1). Santander does pay dividends. Approximate yield 3.5%. Calculated in Euro's, paid in the UK in £'s. If the Euro falls against the pound, the dividend will also fall.

2). BNC is the epic code for the UK LSE Santander operations.

if the santander bid falls through - the price would be in freefall
as it is obvious no-one else wants it!
