21/10/2013 13:11 | I like this company, definitely on the watchlist though I'd like to see the share price a bit stronger before I invest. Sorry if it has already been answered, but is there any news/speculation on how much Aggreko will be involved in the world cup next year? | mad foetus
21/10/2013 13:05 | ex holder, from £4 to £16. Watching again. IMS next Monday | eipgam
18/10/2013 14:36 | ladywormer - only just looked in. Keep the faith here. The monkey has put me in and out of this a few times in the past, and it's always done well. Holding from 1500.05. Downside looks limited to that October low of 1427, but as always, be prepared for the overshoot, particularly when it's near a round number. The upside potential is excellent. That December 2012 gap remains to be filled all the way up to £21.26! A close friend of mine is on contract to this company. He is paid very well, and could work 24/7. Still a lot of potential with GLEN. Did well there. Looking for another re-entry point for a long. Got a lot of Mrs. P's money tied up in HOC at the moment. If that one takes off, it will do well, but not for the faint-hearted. Monkey took a few POG for himself yesterday. Highly speculative - he didn't even tell me about it. | penycae
16/10/2013 17:32 | Peny - I wasn't brave enough for your GLEN call and watched it soar. I took a few AGK and watched them tank. No complaints about your call but whatever I buy goes down and what I think about but don't buy, goes up. Feel I should apologise to you and Monkey for ruining all your good work. | ladywormer
16/10/2013 14:14 | Thought it might break over £15 yesterday. It's all down to the Shermans now...... | penycae
11/10/2013 11:31 | Yes, I asked him for a little broker's kit and a sense of irony. Long here from 1500.05 | penycae
11/10/2013 11:24 | Penycae, did you write your letter to santa? | metier9

07/10/2013 13:53 | Very good news around the corner, a great Scottish Company with 2014 the year of outdoor events in Scotland....Commonwe | aspers
07/10/2013 12:46 | Interesting view from posters here , I must declare an extremely long this stock , have been building position below the £16 level. Proceeds came from another beaten up stock PCTN , which took about 3 years to recover and delivered a fantastic return. This one may take that long but very simply if we move from where we are to the 20 ish level in 3 years that will be a return excluding the dividend of 25%. For doing nothing but holding. If people are really honest with themselves have they beaten an 8% per annum return over the long run ? You can then repeat the process with the next great company that has been beaten up in terms of short term price movements. FYI , I have looked at the business model of power rental as was approached to be the CFO of a company in this space and the long term demand story is going nowhere. THere is a structural lag between a country saying it has a power problem and then implementing a long term solution , the gap is filled by companies such as APR and AGK. If you believe countries don't need power then this stock was never relevant to you , if you believe they need power then the issue is one of price. I have been investing for 20 years never once managed to the get the price exactly at the bottom Hope this helps | kavnish
07/10/2013 12:43 | I have some money on the sidelines(in addition to my current shares) and will wait either to just before the update or until the resolution in America is passed, the fundamentals of the business medium and long term are great, we are going into an even year with Brazil next year, the power stationn in Africa that will have tied up a lot of capex is operational. What will happen when those shorts have to close, and at some time they will, look at superdry, weir, ocado and what happened there. | deanowls
07/10/2013 11:54 | Finally given up & got out/rid at small & bearable loss. Chucked proceeds into a Royal Mail stag just for something to use the dosh for a week or so. Still thing it is a great company but will wait for (still!) lower share price till I buy back. I'm not a chart person but this seems very one way at present. Any thoughts for a good re-entry price? | alimac100
07/10/2013 09:59 | I just wish the dividend was higher. I wouldn't mind buying AGK. | metier9
07/10/2013 09:07 | the bleed continues... | fxscotland
04/10/2013 17:48 | Well, there will be an IMS on the 28th so not long to wait for some clarity. | salpara111
04/10/2013 16:55 | BTW CHG is another interesting company under the cosh. apad | apad
04/10/2013 16:55 | Maybe. The history of WEIR when it was the most shorted is interesting by way of comparison. I think there is probably some truth in the usage position (as there was in the case of WEIR and the fracking slowdown), but the nature of shorting means it tends to overshoot because the herd mentality takes over. I intend to hold AGK forever, so buying a few more out of income after such a drop (50% in a twelvemonth) makes some sort of sense. Wouldn't bet the farm at this point though. apad | apad
04/10/2013 16:52 | a 25 % rise in 4 weeks ?!....doubt it but maybe this is manipulation to get weak longs out before the rally | fxscotland
04/10/2013 16:36 | No one listening here....the shorts may be having fun but about to get burnt badly.......I see 2000p again by end of October....hold onto your hats boys nothing better than the smell if shorts burning :-)) | aspers |
