While the TV and movie streaming landscape is dominated by paid subscription services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu+, 15 per cent of the internet-using population globally uses strictly free, ad-supported services for music streaming, opening up new paths to a huge number of consumers. And with 69 per cent of music streaming happening by mobile, this is a largely mobile opportunity for brands and agencies.

The $220m figure cited by the study is for the newly unlocked ‘at work’ and ‘workout’ streaming moments that advertisers can now reach via streaming services. These times were traditionally difficult to reach consumers with advertising, in particular via mobile, but the growth of streaming music services has opened them up.

“The reason streaming provides a uniquely personal, powerful set of data is because it’s a uniquely personal, powerful way to interact with media,” said Alex Underwood, vice president and head of global agency & partnerships at Spotify. “That’s another huge reason the future of the industry presents such remarkable opportunities for brands and marketers—it’s a new chance to connect with consumers on an inherently personal, intimate platform.

I can't agree with that. Your agenda can be seen on this site going back years and years. I bought within the last three months. Without pointing out the obvious you appear to have issues with self confidence your for ever telling me how good you are how much you have made and so on.

We all know that 7 dig have in the past failed to deliver, its old hat. If,as the broker points out profit is delivered this year then rewards for investing could be huge.

My agenda is to give balanca against your never ending ramping. I have done it on other msg brds eg. MOS from 70p.

If there are no lying ramps then I wont need to highlight the lies by replying.

Yes, I sold as soon as I could after it re-listed....at around 25p. 'Cause I'm clever ! ;-)
Now 6.5p.

Moved to other shares, my SIPP has almost doubled in 3-4 yrs. Some/many of my buys were tweeted...you cld have benefitted.
Now I prefer not to reveal many since I want paying subscribers in order to reveal.

Payables . 6.8M !!
...which it cant pay !!

2017 starts, but you don't stop. For someone who sold two years ago it's very weird behaviour.
I have also been reliabley informed that you also follow BOOM with a vengeance.

Clearly you have an agenda.

If anyone reads Petlovers ramps & then Fitbug msg brds when the price was over 10p....you will see many similarities.

Futbug is now under 0.2p

(My website picked as a sell at I think 13p....and then again at 6p to have 2 shorts. I was right)

Releasing new products is no g'tee of economic success (although petlover believes it does).

Btw you think the masses of baby boomers that own lots of CDs will buy a version in MQA of a disc they already have ?

Of course not.

And will twenty yr olds used to MP3 & smartphones & Spotify (free with ads) & getting their music files for free by copying from friends

will run out to pay for MQA...

No.

I struggle to see much income for 7DIG from MQA

From last years CES

In addition, Onkyo – one of the world’s foremost creators of innovative home entertainment products – is working with 7digital to include the new MQA technology into its high resolution audio store, onkyomusic. From January 8, users will be able to access indie label MQA content in onkyomusic, a store powered by 7digital (branded e-onkyo music in Japan). Onkyo, and its subsidiary Pioneer, are also launching digital audio players with MQA playback capability.

This is what Simon Cole was aiming for just 4 months ago.

“It’s a tiny spot in the wider world of people listening to music. Radio content produced by the 7digital Creative team reaches over 10 million people every week in the UK alone,” he said. “But with two more larger scale customers, that 15 million will become 27 million, and that’s where we want to go: 10bn streams a year to 30 million people from 70 customers.”

From the above 10BN streams a year Worldwide would equal 20% of the UK total market today.

That's a massive amount by any standards. If the two large scale contracts go live soon then its job done.

BPI numbers just published.

Total UK streams now running at a Billion a week.

The growth during 2016 saw the UK reach the milestone of one billion weekly audio streams in December, with audio streaming now accounting for 36.4% of music consumption in the UK according to the BPI’s methodology.

Since you never depart this thread my only conclusion is that either you or those connected with yourself have a vested interest in lowering the share price.

Facts.

Guevara was going for an IPO in Australia, that fell through.

Musical.ly had a valuation of $500M in May 2016 with around half the subscriber base it has today.

GranPad is tied in with Acer.

Playster has massive private equity backing and is the worlds first ALL IN subscription service.

The MQA site still does not list any other B2B music streaming or licensing service.

July 2016.

MQA music is currently available via High Res Audio, Onkyo Music, e-Onkyo, 7digital, 2L and Technics Tracks.

Over the coming months, MQA says it will expand to more streaming platforms and into download stores worldwide.

Don't forget this as well.

7digital became the first B2B platform provider to offer MQA earlier this year through our own site and onkyomusic. We have been working with the creators of MQA from early stages of the technology and we remain the only B2B provider capable of offering MQA.

Since 7Digital have been working with MQA for years it follows that they ( 7Dig ) are in the very best position within the B2B market.

That's why I personally believe this share will do very well through 2017.

"When Warner partnered with MQA back in May, chairman and CEO of WMG's Atlantic Records Craig Kallman said: "The digital music era has been all about convenience. It is fantastic that we can listen to virtually any song, anywhere, any time. In that process, however, convenience has trumped sound quality, and we have gotten further away from the sound that artists work so hard to create. MQA makes hi-resolution music easy to stream or download to any device. Music fans will love it when they hear it, and WMG is thrilled to be partnering with MQA to take the next step in bringing hi-resolution music to consumers across the globe."Expecting big MQA news from CES this week, hopefully something involving 7DIG. Company been very quiet lately...

The reason for that is Warner is not yet ready to launch. All of their music will be on the MQA platform by the Spring.

I have an idea the big three music labels have a master plan for MQA.

Whilst (being keen on MQA myself) I certainly hope Warner will be huge in 2017 off the back of MQA, Steve Cooper didn't point to it. No mention at all, despite focusing on Craig Kallman who's a vocal MQA advocate.

Here is a list of companies that have ambitions to grow very fast with a view to a stockmart listing at some stage.

GranPad
Musicil.ly
Playster

All three have come to 7Dig for licensing, and content.

They all have to have offerings that are going to get through the rigorous IPO process.
